As the school year comes to an end, I’d like to reflect on my experience as Miss Granddaughters Club 2025-2026.

This year has been nothing short of a blessing. From meeting GDC Alumnae, bonding with members, and hosting scrapbooking events to watching new AUC royalty get crowned and helping my pageant babies, I have treasured every moment. 20 pictures is not enough to capture how much this year has meant to me. Every smile, every laugh, and every hug is a memory I will never forget.

Thank you to my village who has been cheering me on even before the crown, and has never left my side. Thank you to our e-board and advisor Miss Dorsey for keeping GDC running strong and making an impact at Spelman. To the general body, it has been an absolute JOY serving as your queen and I can’t wait to make more memories with you all next year. To my pageant babies, I love you all, and I am endlessly proud of your growth and grace throughout the pageant process. To the next Miss GDC, Soleil, I am so excited to see your reign! I know you will have an incredible impact on this organization and our institution 🩵

Above all, I thank God for blessing me with this opportunity and guiding me through my reign. I am nothing without Him.

In partnership with The Atlanta University Center Library and GDC Alumna Jaquelyn Johnson-Daniels ‘71, I hosted my first Legacy Captured event, Sisterhood and Scrapbooking: Homecoming Reflections! 🩵 We reached students from all over the AUC to document our individual histories in the present! Thank you to our volunteers, e-board, and club sponsor for making this event possible! 👏🏽

To God be the glory for every step of this chapter. I never imagined entering the Miss RHA Pageant would be so life changing. What began as a step outside my comfort zone became an experience filled with faith, family, and unforgettable memories.

To the men of Hubert Hall, thank you for trusting me to carry my platform S.O.U.L. (Scholarship, Originality, Unity, Leadership) and for choosing me as your queen.

To the RHA E-Board, Pageant Director, and mama queens, your guidance, encouragement, and inspiration meant the world.

To my court, I am honored to stand beside you as we represent RHA with pride and purpose.

To my sister queens, I’m beyond proud of how far we’ve come and the growth we’ve shared. Meeting each of you has been a blessing.

To my family, friends, and support system, your love and prayers reminded me why I began. It truly takes a village, and I’m grateful to call you mine.

To Payton, thank you for sharing the stage with me. You played as gracefully as you carry yourself.🎻
