It’s Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week (Dec 1-7), so we’re putting the spotlight on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) 💜

Come learn some facts about IBD, and meet some amazing advocates that you should follow 🥰

Some facts about IBD:
💟 IBD is considered as an autoimmune disease.
💟 Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is NOT the same as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
💟 Complications from IBD can cause issues in the bones, joints, eyes, liver, kidneys, and skin.
💟 80% of those with Crohn’s Disease will require surgery, as well as 20% of those with Ulcerative Colitis.
💟 1 in 3 people with IBD have been diagnosed with depression and/or anxiety.
💟 Over 200 genes have been identified as being associated with IBD.

Everybody acts like smells don’t happen.
Like poop isn’t real.
Like gas is a crime.
Like “funk” makes you dirty, lazy, or unwell.

But here’s the truth:
🧠 Your gut communicates through scent.
🦠 Bacteria, digestion speed, and food choices all show up as odor.
✨ And sometimes it’s your medical condition talking — not your character.
