2023 RECAP Jan - felt an overwhelming amount of defeat, anger, hopelessness and fear. Stuck between homes that didn’t have the capacity to support Eden and I Feb- breakthrough: moved in with @chyna_girl13 Mar- learned to transition into the new Apr- grieved turning 25 because I still felt left behind and I didn’t live up to any of the expectations I set for myself May- time of receiving and Eden turned 4 Jun- finally went Sandals church Jul- we lost Hector (Eden’s father) 💜 Aug- Hector’s funeral in New York, tried to commit suicide for the second time, God saved me,humbled me, and gave me an appreciation for life. Sept- Hector’s California funeral, got intentional about community. Oct- a time of deliverance Nov- Eden’s first time at Disneyland, opportunity to buy Christmas gifts for Eden for the first time, and the first time to buy gifts for my loved ones as an adult. More community. Dec- reflection, gratitude, preparation and healing There is a lot more I could say about what took place each month of this year, but these are things I feel most comfortable sharing right now. The last 7 years of my life have had more setbacks, trials, tragedy and pain than I could’ve ever imagined. And this year (apart from 2018) was the most painful. But God. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word, and He gets the last word. I have never felt stronger, more humbled, more grateful, and more in love with my beautiful King than I do right now. God has not forsaken me, He has not forgotten me, He has never taken His eyes off of me or had a deaf ear towards me. His mercy and goodness have pursued me all the days of my life and I cannot deny who He has been. I feel a shift, I feel a deep sense of urgency, I feel expectant and I feel like I am being sent on an assignment. I release 2023, I praise Jesus for what He has done and I look ahead to what is to come. Hello 2024, My name is Taylor. ***Song: For My Good by Maverick City

screaming.crying.throwing up. to be completely honest and transparent I used to be so angry with God when it came to motherhood. I couldn’t understand why He gave me a child knowing all of the struggles and difficulties that were ahead. If He knew I was going to have Postpartum Depression … If He knew I was going to be a single mom… If He knew my son was going to have autism… If He knew it would take 3 years to get my son the help he needed… If He knew that we would face homelessness… If He knew that I would be unemployed… If He knew I would face familial strain & difficulties… If He knew that my “village” would be far and few in between… If He knew the grip that depression, anxiety, fear and anger would have on me… If He knew then why? Why did He choose me? I’m not totally sure why He once told me that Eden was a personal gift to me, that would bring me back Himself. And He wasn’t wrong haha, I was wild back then. But the answer could be as simple as “because it was His will to do so” and that would enough Becoming a Mom and raising Eden has been the literal opposite of what I expected but throughout it all Jesus has been so faithful Faithful to keep us and protect us Faithful to provide and meet all of me and Eden’s needs through the gift of community Faithful to comfort me and affirm me Faithful to work all things for my good and His glory Today my son did something that 3 months ago he couldn’t do I used to fear that he would never talk, or that I would never know the sound of his voice But today the Lord shocked me with a miracle surprise, and my son who was non verbal for 3 years is now talking He is saying words, and picking up phrases, and learning how to have conversations Today God reminded me that no matter what, no matter how long, no matter the circumstances He is truly, completely and wholly faithful. Thank you Jesus, to God be the glory. 🤍🕊️
