Senior night Pom performance for Tay and Payton!

Taylor’s last homecoming and Payton’s first! Taylor went with one of our neighbors Alex who she has been friends with since we moved to Mapleton when she was 6. So many of the kids she grew up with were in her group. Including cute Sammy who was her very best friend for so many years. They now go to different high schools. I had to throw some throw back pics of them into the post! And cute Payton got to go in a group with all her best girlfriends! Both girls had such fun nights.

The day turned out so good for both of them, but in truth it was kind of a nightmare week. Both girls had to dance an insane amount, with 5:45 dance co mornings, and 9:00pm studio nights while trying to squeeze all the hoco fun in. Taylor had an incredibly stressful week as so many college dance deadlines and an intensive fell this exact same week. She danced probably close to 50 hours between everything required, and working to make so many things perfect she felt she needed to. On top of that her hoco dress she picked and ordered mid August still hadn’t made it by the beginning of the week! It had shown as shipped weeks before, and we were hopeful it would just magically show up on time. She just had no time that week to even go look for another….. but it never did come😭 it’s still somewhere lost in a California shipping warehouse. We had so many friends we were able to go to for help. She tried on so many of their dresses, but I kid you not the dress she wore came from a friend in AZ. She had come for the same college dance intensive Tay had that Saturday, and Taylor tried it on for the first time about an hour and a half before she got picked up. The dress was way too long, but Cory and I scrambled and sewed it to the right length and fit, and finished just in time. As Tay walked out to her date, about a minute after putting on her shoes, it also broke! Haha. We all just laughed and said of course it did. The week was stressful but looking back I wouldn’t trade it. I got to see both girls keep showing up when they were exhausted. And under so much stress and everything basically going wrong Tay adapted every time, and just laughed at it all by the end. I love being their mom!

What a long day on Thursday. First, it was announced that all the events on Friday and Saturday nationals would be canceled, then we were told to hurry down to do hair because the competition was back on. We got there at 6:30am for doing hair, all Friday and Saturday events started competing at 9:30pm and we finished at 3:00am. Bosco and Taylor competed with some of the most amazing couples in United States. We were so blessed to have made the final and got 4th place. Thank you so much to our amazing coaches @cheyennemurillo @sashaaltukhov1987 working so hard for training us. @strictlyballroomutah Also thanks you Michael @boykoco for doing amazing hair for me
