I’m sure somebody sees my posts and thinks, “Another pageant post? Another sisterhood caption? We get it, you’re a pageant queen.” 😂

And honestly, I get it. But sometimes I wish you could feel what’s behind the pictures.

Pageants were never something I saw coming for myself. I didn’t know how much I would love them or how much I needed the people they would bring into my life. But here we are.

Some of my former sister queens are still people I talk to, cheer for, and care about long after our year together ended. I still want to know how they’re doing, even when we aren’t wearing matching sashes anymore.

And this year, I was given four other girls I barely knew anything about. I had no idea what they would end up meaning to me. But God knew I needed them in this season before I did. Somewhere between getting ready, laughing over little things, and spending time together, they became people I’m really grateful I get to do life with.

I’m still growing into myself. I still overthink. I still have moments when I don’t feel confident. But I can see a difference in the girl who used to walk into a room and wait for someone to talk to her. Now I’ve learned to introduce myself, ask questions, speak up, and believe I have something worth sharing.

I’ve met people I never would have met and had conversations that opened doors I didn’t even know were there. It makes me wonder what else I could do if I stopped letting being nervous decide for me.

So yes, you’re probably going to see another pageant post. 😂 Because when I look at these pictures, I remember how I felt, who was beside me, and how much has changed since I started.

I didn’t know I needed any of this. Now I can’t imagine my story without these people in it. #acrownabove #pageantsisterhood #pageantlife
