The Fischers🥂

As a Mother, watching your child grow into the person they’re meant to be is one of life’s greatest gifts. With my daughter, one of the qualities I’ve always admired is her independence. The courage she has to step boldly into new chapters, even when they are far from home. About 10 years ago that independence led her to take a leap and move to Costa Rica. She trusted the path ahead, she chased adventure and she followed her heart. None of us could have predicted that on that leap, she would meet someone who matched her spirit and supported her dreams. But she did in Ton.

Thank you to Diana and Eduardo who were also adventurous and moved their family from Argentina when Ton was 18 years old. Thank you Fischer family for being another family for our girl. Today as we stand here I’m filled with gratitude, not only for the love they have built, but for the life they are building together with Sofie and Lily. As much as Costa Rica will always be part of their story, I’m also incredibly happy that they have chosen to spend lots of time in Canada as well. It means the world to have them near to share more memories, more laughter, and more ordinary days that become extraordinary just because we get to spend time together with them.

Ton, Thank you for loving and caring for Carly. For being an amazing partner (soon to be husband)….but most of all for being a wonderful papa for Lily and Sofie. We love you very much

Thank you to everyone for being here. Today is a celebration of love, of partnership, of taking leaps and the beautiful places they can lead us. I’m certain Sofie and Lily will have adventurous spirits like their parents.
