“For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.” Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬-‭11‬

Couldn’t be prouder of the results and how my captain performed under pressure and at times, some harsh conditions. Luke put me on a ton of fish and I’m so thankful to have such a bad ass captain and friend on the boat. The @mwladyred was a blast and I can’t wait to be back next year with @luke_chxfly !! Congrats to the ladies who placed! 🤘🏼

Summer☀️
•Show season was a cool piece of the summer, with time to spend with some of the people that I love the most and getting to explore some new places we’ve never been before.
•We made memories and covered some new milestones as a @migraammunitions fam.
We got to enjoy DesMoines and experience some
of the rich history of Memphis, even ate a pregame StickyBun with the SBB’s.
Dive bars, BBQ, and Beale St was lit🔥
•Conservation was the reason and a time was had!

There’s something about watching a combine roll through a rice field as the sun goes down. For the farmer, it’s the end of months of work. But for a waterfowler, it’s also another sign that our season is getting close.

Soon the temperatures will drop, the north winds will blow, and ducks will begin making their way south. Some of these same harvested fields will become places where birds feed and hunters make memories.

But none of that happens without what came first.

Long before the harvest, somebody prepared the ground. Somebody planted the seed. Then came months of waiting, working, and trusting that what was planted would eventually produce something.

Our walk with Christ is a lot like that.

Every morning spent in His Word is a seed. Every prayer is a seed. Every time you choose obedience over temptation, forgiveness over bitterness, or take your kids hunting and use that time to point them toward the Creator—you’re planting something.

We spend months preparing for duck season. We work on blinds, plant food, brush holes, train dogs, scout, and get everything ready for those few mornings when it all comes together.

What if we prepared our hearts for Christ with that same intention?

Encouragement for today:
Don’t get discouraged when you can’t see the harvest yet.
Keep planting. Keep praying. Keep teaching your family. Keep choosing what honors God.
The farmer plants before he ever sees the crop. The waterfowler prepares before the first migration pushes south. And as followers of Christ, we stay faithful today and trust God with what that faithfulness produces tomorrow.
