Besides being born, this was the best day of my life! Thank you so much to this beautiful world for allowing us to love and give. This was my first ever event, and it went a lot better than I thought. There will be many more in the future as this is my way of serving. Thank you for helping me learn.

Day 24 of our experiment 📖

Today’s edition started with my buddy @tazhiggs randomly flipping through Love Unlocked in Vietnam before handing it off to me freshly landed back in Bali in the back of a car. The joys of our digital world!

Grateful for him wanting to flip and kick us off since my book is apparently in China as we speak with the rest of my luggage…any case…

We landed on: Coming Home to Wholeness.

So what does being “whole” actually mean?

We hear a lot about not needing anyone else to complete us.

And there’s truth in that.

But I’ve also witnessed beautiful relationships where two people are deeply intertwined, interdependent, and seem to fit together like a lock and key and do get that Disney connection.

No one speaks about that really. Truth is do the work yes, but we’re WIRED to connect as humans. We do need partnership.

I don’t think those ideas necessarily contradict each other.

Wholeness doesn’t mean never needing anyone.

And connection doesn’t have to mean losing yourself.

I’d argue the question is whether we’re choosing someone to share ourselves with or asking them to “fix” parts of us we feel are broken or missing.

We don’t have to arrive perfectly healed.

We don’t have to have everything figured out.

Coming home to wholeness is simply learning how to belong to yourself while still allowing yourself to deeply belong with others.

Something to think about.

Day 24. Back in Bali. Luggage pending…

As always, if you need anything, I’m here for you. You’re not alone.

Welcome home 🏡

Nobody hands you a manual for friendship, communication, emotional maturity, or being a good person.

Sometimes you have to learn, make mistakes, grow, and choose to do better.

Sai is such a good reminder that who you’ve been doesn’t have to be who you stay.

Shoutout to Taz for inspiring this one.

From playing polydrons during choice time to helping my boys boat around the lake— you’re just plain wonderful!
