Inspiring Change Through Fitness and Generosity 💪🏻

In December, I organized a fitness accountability group that turned our workouts into a powerful tool for kindness. Here’s the scoop: Each participant chipped in $20 to our fitness challenge, and I matched it. Our mission? To spread some serious positivity while cultivating discipline during the holidays through fitness improvement.

Together, we raised $600. Inspired by @mrjimmyrex and his impactful $100 Dinner Club, I aimed to multiply this wave of generosity. We chose three deserving individuals who could really enjoy a special night out. Each received $200 with a simple idea: Treat yourself to a $100 dinner and pass on the good vibes by tipping your server the other $100.

This challenge wasn’t just about physical fitness; it was a lesson in gratitude, discipline, and the power of giving. Our participants committed not only to their health but also touched lives in a profound way.

The recipients enjoyed a great meal, and more importantly, they experienced the joy of generosity by tipping their servers $100. Some of the individuals brought their children, who got to witness the power of giving while enjoying their meal. This created an invaluable learning moment for the young ones. The servers, in turn, felt the unexpected joy of receiving.

This cycle of giving created a beautiful synergy of gratitude and kindness. It’s a reminder that our actions, big or small, can have a tremendous impact on others and can spread rapidly through mindful actions.

I intend to keep this chain of positivity going and find more ways to share my skillsets to benefit others. How can you make an impact in your community, or how do you plan to?

⚠️ DO IT TODAY ⚠️ This has been a motto I’ve lived by over the last 6-7 months as I’ve been on a this self improvement journey. Realizing that despite all the work I’ve done to improve my behavior and let go of past mistakes, I’ve still got a long way to go. Behaviors and habits don’t change over night. And your life doesn’t simply improve because you overcame any sort of addiction or battle; your behaviors and life improve because of the systems and unbreakable mentality you put into place along the way.

Every day is a new day and every new day is an opportunity to compete against yourself from the day prior. Some days you’ll lose to that version of you from the day before but if you stay consistent those defeats will become less frequent and few and far between…

Experiencing pain, discomfort, failure, heartache, and questioning purpose are all signs you’re on the right path. Keep beating that drum, keep pounding that pavement, keep climbing that mountain; and most of all keep consistent… Never too high, never too low!

We can all be great, let’s do it together. Even if it means disappearing for a while and coming back stronger, more resilient, more disciplined, more honest, more victorious, more enthusiastic, more grateful, and more of an unwavering DRIVEN mentality.

The best is yet to come!!

Day 20… It’s amazing how one person’s act of kindness can change the course of your day, week, month, year, life… Feeling incredibly humbled and grateful to the lady in front of me that paid for my meal at Wendy’s. There’s so much good in the world, find ways to be a part of it. And when you’re ever stuck in a rut, remember one of the best the best ways out is to perform random acts of kindness to the strangers around you. Be good!! 💙

And as a man to the other men out there, it’s ok to let your emotions shine through. Don’t be afraid of the emotions you feel, feelings are nothing to be embarrassed about. Let it out, talk it out. 💪🏻👊🏻

Day 17... One of my favorite tidbits here by Simon Sinek. Compete against yourself!! Too often we obsess with what someone else is, what they may be, or what they have, it’s a personal-mindset-growth killer. Be obsessed with why you do what you do and where you’re going, continually finding ways to compete against yourself and celebrate those victories. Always improving, always moving forward, always systematically approaching life’s challenges with a competitive heartbeat against and for yourself.

Day 15… Been a couple days but wanted to get something up before the end of the day… Had a little me time after work today at Top Golf to reflect, refocus, and be grateful for all that I have in this amazing life!!!… I love my “me” time…

A quick breakdown… Bulging disc, herniated disc, back brace, constant hip pain, and mind numbing pain down my left leg, calf, and foot. Let’s just say I’m physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted… 😩 Takes everything I’ve got within me the last few days to get up and keep going. I’m hoping that after my surgery next week I’ll be able to get back to somewhat of a pain free life. For whatever reason when we fall down we gotta find the courage to get back up… and keep going!! It’s uncomfortable but worth it. Change is a process, not an event; enjoy the ride!! And you’re gonna have bad days but always remind yourself what an amazing life you have. Keep climbing that hill, keep pushing forward, believe in YOU!! You’re one decision away from an amazing life!!!
