Sometimes an adventurous hike during First Friday Art Walk - outside of the Arts District - is well worth the exploration.

#1 - Nathaniel Meyer’s exhibition opening @mossgalleries near the Portland Waterfront was packed & stimulating with two red dots early on!

#2 - Have you been to the C Word pop-up @c_word.shop in the black box on Washington Ave? Over 20 artisans represented!

#3 - And what about the two separate pop-up galleries - curated and hosted by 50 artists representing the Maine Art Collective - @maineartcollective on Moulton Street ( former Mexicali Blues store) and another at 157 Middle Street? Lots of affordable gifts for the holidays.

#4 - Alas, tried to get to Notch 8 opening but traffic was so congested near the hockey games at the Civic Center. Will definitely head over there soon for their 8 x 8 exhibition.

# 5- The creme de la creme of the night was @jordann.art Jordan McKenna’s show at @82parris_ . The artist’s fashion palette of powder pinks, butter creams and mauve hues matched her stunning paintings. Congratulations on a wonderful opening night!

Btw, when you go to the gallery, make sure you check out @michael.rich.mr_ black & white wonder of classic Maine island granite rocks. Slide #15. Well done, Mr. Rich.

Mark your calendars for 82 Parris auction on December 6th curated by @kincaidpearson and @katmillerphoto & Co. Young, hip talent at this West Bayside gallery ( former new systems laundry & currently celebrating 3 years) next to the old Fork Food Lab.

#6 - Meanwhile -
not pictured here - there’s plenty more to see this month : NonSense exhibition at lewis Gallery @portlandpubliclibrary and the current exhibitions at @icaatmeca and @space538 plus @tootzmjm Nancy Davidson’s group show, Critters @covestreetarts.
