Today, we are in Zull Community, Bauchi State, Nigeria, for the second location of our 2026 International Day of the Girl Child celebration.

In line with this year’s theme, “End Child Marriage and Invest in Girls’ Rights,” we are creating room for the girls’ voices, listening to their experiences, and reminding our communities of the need to protect girls’ rights and give them the opportunity to shape their own futures.

At Pure Impacts, we believe investing in girls means more than talking about their future. It means taking action to protect their rights and ensuring their voices count in decisions that affect their lives.

What a girl could become should not be decided by the circumstances she was born into.

In this message, our Founder and Lead Volunteer, @lizzy_b_omotolah reflects on years of working with girls in underserved communities and why we must look beyond what they lack.

Ending child marriage is part of this conversation. A girl should not have her future decided for her through a marriage she is not ready for, just as her background should not determine the limits placed on her future.

As we mark International Day of the Girl Child, we must ask ourselves: are we investing in girls' rights, or are we simply celebrating their potential while the barriers around them remain?

Is getting a girl into school enough? What does investing in her rights look like?

In 2023, we went beyond talking about possibilities and gave these girls an opportunity to learn a practical skill , balloon making. It was a simple activity, but it gave them room to learn, create and try something different.

A girl may discover a talent, an interest or even a future opportunity when she is given the chance to try something new.

This is what investing in girls' rights looks like yo us, and it remains one of our commitments at @pureimpactsinspirational

Tolu x Tunmise 💍

An exquisite celebration of love, defined by elegance, beauty, and timeless moments.

We had the distinct honour of managing the drinks at Tutus Place Events Center—delivering a refined, seamless experience where every detail was thoughtfully executed and every guest properly served.

Expertly planned and managed by @eventsbyrella

Moments like these are a reminder that when excellence meets intention, the experience speaks for itself.

For us, it’s never just about drinks… it’s about curating an atmosphere that elevates the entire celebration and leaves a lasting impression on every guest.

Excellence is not an effort, it is our standard.

For those who value this level of detail and experience, we remain available to create something truly exceptional.

The Event Managers' Community was launched as an online community in 2020, during the pandemic, as a prompt response to the very high-demand for mentorship especially for start-up and budding event managers.

Prior to this time, the Founder @ifectivtouch hosted an online Professional Event Coordinators' Bootcamp which was also served as the first edition of the annual physical/hybrid event, now called The Professional Event Managers' Workshop.

This year 2026 will be the 7th edition and we would like to take you on a journey into the milestones and achievements ao far at #eventmanagerscommunity.

If you're an event planner, producer, manager/coordinator, ushering agency owner, event protocol/VIP manager or venue manager and you're not following us, please do. We have a lot to share with you and wd don't want you to miss it.

Stay tuned for more content
