I know that it’s late but I want to make an end of year appreciation post. My biggest thanks goes to @jakobiejk for being an amazing teacher, human, friend and brother from another mother. Always making me feel good, teaching me brand new things, and helping me through tough times. I’m very glad I got to spend the past 2 years with him and wish to see his growth in his doctoral career. I’m also always appreciative of the friends I have made at UofL and can’t wait for this next semester so I can play music with them again. Anywho yippee 😛

Mannnnn lemme tell yall. I have been TESTED. Through fire, brimstone, blood sweat and tears, I've graduated with my 2ND MASTERS DEGREE, and have accepted an assistantship at the University Of Northern Colorado for a DA in jazz studies! I'm a damn DOG and anyone familiar with my journey with music knows that I've had all odds against me and always come out on top. But, shout out people like @ps_ward, @patchettderek, the members of my wonderful combo and faculty members for keeping me sane and together in the moments I thought I would break. These people have truly brought my love for playing with others to such a new level that I can't help but smile all the time playing with people (thanks yall). Degrees are a TEAM EFFORT and without the wonderful friends I've made here, I know for a FACT I wouldn't have seen this through. The people I've met here have not only been an amazing support system but a fire that always made me want to practice like crazy. I have eternal love and gratitude for you all. Music is so dependent on those around you and shapes the way you grow and without yall, I wouldn't be the player I am today or have the love for playing that I do. Also, shout out to Dave Clark man. I've spent countless hours in his office defeated, crying, lost, and just downright depressed, but anyone that's had the blessing of meeting him knows that he has such a way of touching your soul and lighting the fire in you when you think it's gone. I can't thank you enough for being a role model and mentor to me these two years. I could wax poetically about all of the amazing people I've met here for hours and hours, but all that to say thank you, I love you all, and I'll always be grateful. Keep an eye out for my new music adventures in Colorado! TLDR: I'm a dog, I have many great friends,teachers, and colleagues, 4th degree incoming (doctorate at that).
