When people think of Boston arts and culture, it's often historic homes, Revolutionary era iconography, or Anglo-European painters who sell out museum tickets. They should know that the people running arts and culture today also look like this.

Praise Shadows in Boston happened because of the incredible Mayor Wu, whose former chief of staff Tiffany Chu understood what we needed for our next move. A Slack message about us made it to Joseph Zeal-Henry (right), the Chief of Arts and Culture for the City of Boston, who made this type of magic happen in his previous job at the London Mayor's Office. Sean Webster (left) represented us in the real estate deal, identifying the perfect location for us. We pounded the pavement together throughout Downtown Boston, which is full of beautiful historic buildings that have so much potential for arts and culture.

Thank you to Mayor Wu, Tiffany Chu, Joseph Zeal-Henry and his team at the Mayor's Office of Arts & Culture, Sean Webster, Arts and Business Council of Greater Boston, and Downtown Boston Alliance.

In honor of our dear neighbor and friend TJ who passed two years ago, we present this pawsome foursome with their corresponding Sex and the City personalities. I think TJ would be happy to be visited by these cuties at the bench built for him. #DogsAndTheCity #valentines

The Misstropolis Holiday Gift Guide is brought to you this year by five badass women of Boston. 🤩 Tiffany Chu is herself a gift to this city. Until last month she was the much-beloved Chief of Staff to Mayor Michelle Wu, the first-ever elected woman, person of color, and Asian American to serve as Mayor of Boston. Tiffany has spent her career creating ways to make cities more people-centric. She is a designer who founded Remix, a software platform that helps cities around the world manage transportation and access to opportunity. She is a proud grad of MIT, like me, and is about to embark on an adventure around the world.

Before she takes off she shared some of her favorite local gifts and artisans. You can see them all on Misstropolis.com. Link in bio. And don't forget to sign up for the newsletter so you never miss the latest from stars like Tiffany! 💝

“One of my favorite things to read while on a train or plane is the latest issue of Boston Art Review,” says Tiffany Chu, Mayor Wu’s chief of staff in the July issue of @bostonmagazine.

@tchu88 recommends grabbing the latest issue from our friends @brooklinebooksmith, but if you love what you read, you can become a print subscriber at bostonartreview.com

Thank you for being a reader, Tiffany! ❤️
