Been SO very busy working on incredible things with incredible teams at @valleyfairmn that I haven’t had time to post ✨While this year has been full of unexpected ups, downs, twists, turns, & challenges, there was plenty of JOY this summer; reflecting back through my camera roll has been a beautiful reminder of that. I feel so very lucky to get to do what I do here. Thank you to @lizmullerdirects and @jesswillcoil for your fearless leadership and constant belief in me. To all of the performers, creatives, and VF teams: you have a special place in my heart!🌞

Long end of season wrap up post for Valleyfair 2024…

This fall I got to act in the new attraction CryptidLand, do sound design for Bloodshed and Blood on the Boundary Waters, and run sound for the daytime shows at Gazebo stage. Taking all of this on definitely got overwhelming at times and tested my limits, but it also was an incredible experience that I wouldn’t trade.

CryptidLand challenged me to act in ways I never have before. Getting to be a part of that insanely cool maze was a great experience, and we took home Attraction of the Year for Zone 1.

Doing a sound design for a haunted attraction is a dream I’ve had since I first started doing sound during my junior year in high school. It was even more rewarding to have my first one be at the same haunt that I started acting at 8 years ago, and to get to work on my BOTBW design with the insanely talented @cade.ril who created a phenomenal lighting design, and has been one of my best friends since high school that I’ve gotten to design school plays with many times, have worked at ValleyScare with for several years, and have always wanted to design a maze with. It was the perfect full circle moment for us. I’m also so honored to have been awarded Audio Design of the Year. I poured a lot of blood, sweat, tears, time, and energy into that design, and its location certainly provided me many challenges during setup. We had a very talented team of sound designers working on all of the mazes this year, who put out incredible work, so to have been selected for that award truly means the world to me.
