Coach Spotlight for National Coaches Month 🏸🫶

Chrissie Price is Head Tennis Professional at Sand Point Country Club in Seattle, and during the rainy season she coaches at Tennis Center Sand Point. She brings two decades of experience across Atlanta, Houston and London, and in 2021 was named one of America’s Top 5 Female Coaches by Tennis Channel.

Her commitment to advancing women in the sport led her to Women Coaching Racquet Sports (WCRS), where she serves as a Vice President. That connection also led her to the PNW Women’s Tennis Coaching Network, and both organizations work to uplift players and encourage more women to become coaches.

The same commitment to equity drives her work with the RSPA, where she serves on the DEI Advisory Board, represents the Pacific Northwest as Division Rep, co-chairs the Women’s Committee and develops the next generation of coaches as a Coach Developer. She is also a USTA National Cardio Tennis Trainer. She won the speaking competition at the 2025 RSPA World Racquets Conference, returned as a panelist in 2026 and presents regularly at RSPA division conferences.

At the core of her coaching is a belief that tennis should be accessible to every player, regardless of skill level, background or ability. That philosophy shows up in the inclusive formats she uses to keep players returning, including Triples, a format she brought to TCSP, and in her PTR Wheelchair certification.

What advice would you give women just starting out, or to yourself when you began?

Never stop being curious, learn from your peers and mentors, and say yes to every opportunity you can. You don’t need to have everything figured out to belong on the court. Find your people, keep learning and step into the role before you feel ready. Confidence comes from doing the work.

Thank you Coach Chrissie for being an inspiration and role model for others! We appreciate you and the inclusive and supportive environments you create in the PNW and beyond!
