Traded in my F45 coaching gear for heels and a microphone…

Tonight I had the opportunity to speak at the Waunakee Public Library on Understanding Our Patterns…and we didn’t tiptoe around it.

We went straight to the heart of why we do (and don’t do) the things that keep us stuck. Because this work isn’t about more discipline or more willpower. It’s about reconnecting with the parts of you that learned those patterns in the first place.

Little Tam Tam came with me (of course), because this work will always be about channeling her. And the more I step into spaces like this, the more I know…I’m meant to be speaking. I’m meant to share our story. I’m meant to help people reconnect with their Inner Child too.

I’ve been given "big energy" for a reason…and I’m done shrinking it to make the message more digestible or to make other people more "comfortable." Plus I refuse to let all those years of show choir and perfecting my jazz hands go to waste!

What I was reminded of tonight was how easy it is to make assumptions about someone at first glance…until you hear their story.

People might look at me now and assume I’ve always loved my body. They have no idea how much I once hated it…how much I tried to control it, shrink it, and disconnect from it.

That’s why this work matters.

I am my own walking billboard for what healing from the inside out can actually look like…and I’m finally owning that.

Because whether I’m coaching on the floor at F45 or standing in a room like this, the mission is the same.

Sometimes we build strength from the outside in.
Sometimes we go inward and do the emotional reps.

But both lead to the same place…

Helping people come home to themselves.

Thank you, Tim Decorah & the Waunakee Community, for this opportunity!

Building a sober life doesn’t just happen online.
It happens in rooms full of laughter, honesty, connection, and alcohol-free joy.
This year I committed to creating more real-life experiences for women who want to drink less or not at all.
So far we’ve had:
✨ sauna + cold plunge
✨ Galentine’s love letters
✨ conference panels
✨ upcoming music nights and dancing
And we’re just getting started.
If you’d come to one of these gatherings…
Tell me your city below.
Let’s bring sober community to you. 💫

P.S. If you want to know about future sober events, gatherings, and meetups, make sure you’re on my newsletter list.
That’s where I share first invites, early details, and special opportunities to connect in real life.

🎙️ Grateful for the conversation on the Survive & Thrive Podcast.

We talked about Echoes of Stark Park — the journey, the lessons, and how basketball became more than a game for me growing up in Milwaukee. We dove into resilience, identity, pressure, and what it really means to survive difficult seasons and still find a way to thrive.

Appreciate the space to share my story and the purpose behind the book. 🙏🏾

🎧 Episode out now on Apple Podcast, IHeart Radio, Spotify & YouTube
