One year ago, I was at the University of Maryland College Park at National History Day getting on an elevator when I met two girls from Tallahassee, Florida. They then introduced me to their friends and all of us hung out for the five days of the competition. After the competition, I was planning to fly to Tallahassee to visit a university that I had never been to before: Florida State University. Flash forward one year and I’m back in Tallahassee for my college orientation (and took a side trip to Panama City beach while I was here). It’s funny how life works out sometimes.
