'The Death of "Superman Lives", What Happened?', an independent feature documentary about the 1998 Tim Burton/Nic Cage Superman film that almost was!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Can't believe this was 2015 ago....

Recently got this blu ray back from a friend. Decented to pop it on the screen while organizing comic books and surprisingly I realize there were a lot of bonus materials that I did not watch. And it's A LOT!

There was like the 40 minute section of Kevin Smith reciting his story of getting on board on Superman Lives.

An 18min segment with Grant Morrison.

RIP Jon Schnepp thank you for your hard work!!!

Repost via @rollingstone: See an exclusive first look at the cover to the upcoming DC Comics issue Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #19, featuring Nicolas Cage as Superman.
Make no mistake. We made this happen @jonschnepp @marie_jamora @hambertful @saintbethla! This DC cover and Cage’s cameo in The Flash would NEVER have happened without @tdoslwh. I’m so damn proud of all of us. And @jonschnepp is clearly making his dreams come true from the beyond! CHIMPNUGGET LIVES! I love you @jonschnepp!

It’s been four years and there are still times when I see a movie and wish I could hear Schnepp and Dennis talk about it.
You are missed, man.

Back in 1998 there was a project called Superman Lives. Directed by @timburton
This is how the project would look like if it was animated with the original cast.
Inspired by the amazing art of @philbourassa

£3,055 raised for @cybersmilefoundation at #WeeCon last weekend, a digital “con” style event on @twitch. It was a HUGE undertaking and I was shattered after but it was so worth it. Thanks to the wonderful guests for their time - Armando Iannucci, @ashens, @ruthie_connell, @markrowley90, @xmentas, @mr_dark_room, @zafarcakes_, @tdoslwh @bettydrapers_fatsuit, Rupert Booth ans @spanishirishchick! Plus a huge hug to the Wee Squad for showing up, donating and throwing their support behind the event! If you missed it you can watch the clips and VODs on twitch.tv/weeclairehere.

On my world, it means hope. #ReleaseTheSnyderCut

A small tease at what’s to come. It’s looking more and more likely that the Snyder Cut of Justice League is going to be a thing, which is incredibly exciting. It’s honestly something else that we’re still talking about this movie almost 3 years later.
