Hot Boyz!!!!! North Fairmount our great neighborhood. Man, I could have been the lead rapper in this group. When I went to college, I would sit in the locker room thinking of my music career and the streets, but I didn't want to go back because I was having 99 problems with the girl I got a baby by. So, I stayed in school and played college basketball. This was the poster I had in my cubicle on the men's basketball team at Cincinnati State. I would be looking at the photo before practice and feeling the love I would be getting on the streets and the lead rapper. The Hot Boys from New Orleans with there lead rapper lil Wayne came out at the exact same time as the Hot Boyz in Cincinnati, so I was really getting fired back up for the streets. I had 2 suitcases full of music that I would carry around with me on the campus of Cincinnati State, so my teammates and coaches knew I was into music. My teammates was focused on playing basketball and we had a good team with Adrian Stockmon Winthrop University, Roberto Allen (now Head Coach at Withrow High School), Gomez (from California) Jason Forest, Courtney, Robert Sanders (Associated Degree & Bachlors Degree, Quentin Smith (NKU) and more. Coach Hurley our coach held a meeting and while talking he looked at me and that "Hot Boyz" poster as if he was asking "You ain't going back to the streets to be that". I took it down later and have not been to the streets since. I now hang at the University of Cincinnati almost daily exercising and loving education to this day. But, I sometimes think how I could have been like rapper lil Wayne as the lead rapper. I give thanks to Coach Hurley, Roberto Allen, Adrian Stockmon and the rest of my teammates for showing me having fun in school is a blast
