a tribute. to some of the greatest people I had the pleasure of meeting these last few years.

making new connections was something I always struggled with. but somehow despite that, I stumbled across the right people at the exact time I needed them. I was able to grow, become more confident and becoming more closer to those around me.

next thing I know, my home became a hotspot. hosting little hangouts every now and then, creating a safe place for those in my small little community. I start thinking about interactions more and more and slowly coming out of my shell.

and even when I reached what felt like my darkest places due to so much fear about change and overthinking letting my impulses and emotions get the best of me, they somehow didn’t give up on me. and to me, that’s what makes these people so special.

no matter what ups and downs we go through, the bonds and the memories that we’ve made still stick and are able to persevere all the way to the very end.

and as I saw them leave my house one last time, driving away in the rain as I stood outside and watched their headlights slowly fade, I thought of all the school events, late night game sessions, random hangouts and thought to myself, “I didn’t do that bad after all.”

“goodbye to those we met on this journey. I will cherish the memories forever. and to those we meet on the next journey, hello.” 💙💜🩷

NOTE: insta was being stupid so I had to split the caption into three parts, scroll through the first 4 pics to read the whole thing.

welp. better late than never.

if there are times I wanna go back and relive an experience one more time, I always think about these banquets. those nights where we all come together, not worry about the stress of school or an upcoming show but simply to honor the legacies of those around us. to celebrate what we have overcome not just as a troupe, but as a family.

and as me and many others enter a new phase of our lives, I wanted to make a post that honored those legacies similar to those nights.

I’ve already made my stance on theatre clear from this account, but this night made it all the more special. from rising star to thespian of the year, I found a home in theatre that I couldn’t find anywhere else. and I owe that to all of you, cast and crew. especially some of those I’ve gotten way closer from doing these shows.

Judah, when you came to this company, you brought so much talent and passion with it. and through that I got to meet someone special. you have been a treat to be around on and offstage and I know you’re gonna keep doing amazing things with theatre. (just don’t try cooking me again please.)
Sav, I’ve only gotten to know you through this last year but those moments we had together were special. our little banter during rehearsals and backstage is something I will always hold dear when looking back at mermaid and farenheit.
Stella, the whimsy and hard work you bring to this company is something I cannot understate. I’m so glad we were able to connect more during this last year and can’t wait to see what you do next.
Charley, one of the hardest pills for me to swallow moving on from high school theatre is the idea of not sharing the stage with you again. I have shared so many wonderful onstage moments with you that I genuinely can’t picture what it would be like doing theatre without you. please never give up on theatre because I know you are going to keep doing amazing things in and out of this company. you will always forever be Ariel in my heart.
Teagan, every time you have been involved in these shows, yo

about a year ago, before the reveal my senior show was little mermaid, SpongeBob was another popular pick at the time and I thought “man that would be a weird show to do!” if only junior year me can see me now…

oh my god I loved doing this show. I remember being so worried that I wasn’t going to be able to keep my passion for theatre going so steadily after high school was done but I am so glad this show proved me wrong. everyone involved was so kind and supportive, despite the limited amount of time I had known them for. especially the production team, I am so honored to have been given this chance and giving me the trust in playing the wonderful squidward q tentacles. I love everything about this dude. the voice, the big musical numbers, the random improv in between, the LEGS. god what a fun role to do. (they also let me takeover their socials for a day, so that was fun.)

thank you to everyone who was involved, from the wonderfully talented cast, the amazing and supportive production team, and my wonderful friends who all took time out of their weekend to come see this show. I am forever grateful for your support. (oh and shout out to judah who basically knew I was destined to play squidward since the concept of me doing SpongeBob was put into his mind for the last year, you are a goddamn prophet.)

I genuinely wish I found STLTP sooner, it’s been a blast doing this show. only time will tell where I go with theatre as I head into college, but if I ever get the chance, I’d gladly work with this community again.

“whatever comes there’s just one thing to do… make the best day ever with all of you…”
