Hey everyone! As we approach our holiday season, we try to do our best to make sure our families have their needs met and provide a great holiday season. One way we do that is by having a toy and coat drive to have a giveaway for our Roosevelt families.

Please be sure to share with your families, friends and on social media sites to help bring as many donations in as possibles. Thanks in advance for the support!

Making science magical! ✨ Meet OUSD Teacher of the Year, Krista Toumi, a 6th-grade science teacher from @rms_oak! Krista's colleagues describe her as "magical" in her ability to connect with students and spark their curiosity for science.

🧪 She encourages them to experiment, fail safely, and make real-world connections to what they're learning. It’s no wonder her students love her class!

Discover more about Krista’s inspiring teaching philosophy by visiting the link in our bio for the full story!

How did you beat the heat today? Roosevelt Middle School 6th graders in Ms. Toumi's science class knew the heat was on and has the receipts to prove it.🌡🌡🌡

Ms. Toumi's class became junior meteorologists and got outside to build their own forecasts.🌦🌞🌬

The Bulldogs checked the temperature (70 degrees at 8:45), the air pressure (barometer) and the humidity (hygrometer).

Tag @Oakinthemiddle and let us know your favorite science teacher and tell us what makes them a teacher to remember. And, who knows, we may pop into their classroom soon.📣📣📣

A huge shout out to @art_mural_creations for the dope mural on Ms. Toumi's classroom wall.
