We march, we dance, we love: because we must.

+++ NEW TICKETS JUST RELEASED! (INDOOR) 🎟️ Due to popular demand, we’re opening the cinema hall for an extra screening of PEACHES GOES BANANAS this Saturday at 21:30. 👉 Grab your tickets at sinematranstopia.de #linkinbio

📍SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA | Lindower Str. 20/22 | @sinematranstopia +++

What’s better than one Peach? That’s easy….two! Peaches documentary double-bill and an in person talk with Peaches herself, coming up on 14. June at SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA!

The evening begins at 19:00 in the cinema hall with a screening of Marie Losier’s 2024 documentary, Peaches Goes Bananas. Over 17 years, Losier chronicled the life and boundary-pushing artistry of Merrill Nisker — better known as artist, musician and queer feminist icon Peaches. A pulsing, kaleidoscopic tapestry that mirrors Peaches’ ever-evolving reinvention through sound, performance, and costume.

At 20:30, festivities move to the OPEN AIR, when curator Agnessa Schmudke will be in conversation with Peaches about what it’s like to have her life and work captured on film.

The celebration continues at 21:30 with an OPEN AIR screening of Philipp Fussenegger and Judy Landkammer’s 2024 documentary, Teaches of Peaches. For over two decades, Peaches has carved a legacy as a feminist musician, producer, director, and performance artist, using music and theatre to destabilize patriarchal norms, redefine gender binaries, and champion LGBTQIA+ liberation. Captured during Peaches’ electrifying tour of 2022, it stitches together rare archival treasures and explosive live footage to trace her metamorphosis.

🎟️Tickets for each screening sold separately at the usual price of 9€ (or just 7€ each for SINEMA 10X holders). Limited spaces, book now to avoid disappointment!

Peaches Goes Bananas
Marie Losier, Belgium, France 2024, 73 min. English

Not a lot of people reach the levels of bad assery of feminist queer icon Peaches. For over two decades she’s been pushing boundaries with her wild electroclash shows and provocative music. But the years haven’t dulled her edge one bit. Witness for yourself in the documentary “Teaches of Peaches”, screened only once, 28/12 at @filmtheaterhilversum for #Live2000 !
