A few Sundays ago, I was invited by one of my favorite big sisters, Ingrid Burrell, to her home to “Come Sit on the Porch!” ❤️

And when I tell you it was refreshing—it truly was! Just a group of sisters breaking bread, some meeting for the very first time, laughing, loving on one another, sharing stories, and sitting on the front porch like we used to do back in the day. 🥰

There was something so special about being surrounded by like-minded women, just CHILLING! No pressure, no pretending—just good conversation, good energy, lots of laughter, and a little trip down memory lane. ❤️
And y’all already know me—I’m a hustler! 😂 Somehow the conversation turned to my shea butter, and the sisters wanted some. BINGO! I had it right in the car because I STAY READY so I don’t have to GET READY! 😂🙌🏾

Thank you, Ingrid, for the invitation and for creating such a beautiful space for women to simply come together, break bread, laugh, love on each other, and enjoy the moment.
Find you some REAL women you can love on, laugh with, break bread with, and just SIT ON THE PORCH with.❤️💕👑

Sometimes the simple things are exactly what the soul needs.

Life is moving fast man! Touring the school for our next mural in St.Lucia with our youth this spring. St.Balata Primary School. The staff are so nice. Our students have so much to be grateful about when it comes to school facilities. We are taking 8 youth to create the mural.

Youth Arts exhibit on 12/17/24 - 1/17/25 at the artist gallery . We did a live flyer, mark & b are the greatest … super excited about where Smoke & Word is headed. Next date 12/19 for Smoke & Word. Maldives 🇲🇻 to bring in the NY.

I’m in this kitchen cooking lol and hanging art 🖼️. Happy thanksgiving everyone. 😊 Social media will make you feel like you have to do more and more and more lol and that’s not true at all. Just be you and the village will form.

What an amazing murals program experience we had with the kids this summer ! Today we celebrate with 3 ribbon cuttings. Every age group worked hard to complete these murals within their groups. We created a program to improve our community through the arts. Our kids learned how to create change in their environment with the use of the arts. Then they changed the physical environment with murals from their imagination. We created 3 murals in 4 weeks on Good Hope rd, start to finish and we are excited to create 4 additional murals at this location @bhgrecovery 😊. Also… kids were able to create a bit of synergy working together. We have to teach kids “how to work together “ on a consistent basis. They will be called to do murals as a team! The kids also really enjoyed the English , Language arts portion of camp. And they all are looking forward to returning next year. They never want to leave and they can’t stop telling their parents how much fun they are having😊 . #arts #summer #washingtondc #murals #camp #youth #communityovercompetition
