26.2 miles for my 26th birthday 🏃🏻‍♀️🥳🤪

I want to thank my friends, my run clubs, my family, my guardian angel my dad & a big thank you to MYSELF for not giving up.

If you would’ve asked me 4 months ago if I was going to be able to complete this I had so much doubt but I kept believing, kept showing up & kept working hard. 4 months of training for this one day. I only turn 26 once and I say this is one hell of an accomplishment.

This is proof that grief is hard, life is hard but you can always push yourself to do something hard. To the little girl I’ve taken care of since dad passed away we did that WE BECAME A MARATHONER!!!!!

did someone say biggest sorority recruitment in csuf history???
-
oh wait, I DID!!! most women registered ✅ highest pre-recruitment event attendance ✅ highest totals set ✅ most bids distributed ✅ most love i have ever given ✅,✅, and ✅ !!!! there are no words that can be used to describe how im feeling right now. the immense gratitude i have for the panhellenic council and advisors is simply unmatched. in a year full of novel recruitment strategies, involvement, and events, YALL DIDNT COME TO PLAY!!! i have felt the support of this team time and time again through the highs and lows (but mostly highs), and recruitment would never have been this successful without each and every persons commitment and dedication to this project. this position has changed me as a person and i couldn’t be more grateful for all of the opportunity and growth it has brought my way. i am happier, stronger, and filled with gratitude because of my experience on the panhellenic council. my brain is swollen with new knowledge, my heart with love, and my feet from walking 20k steps every day. i am so incredibly proud, grateful, and enamored with each and every one of you, and honored to serve alongside you on this council.

to each and every person that participated in recruitment - your words, feedback, and genuine experience make this process the best part of our year BY FAR! my goal was and will always continue to be to make sure as many women feel supported, heard, represented, included, and truly embraced as possible in our community. i only hope that through each of our events, conversations, and days of recruitment, you felt all of the love and care that went into this process and that i have for all of you!!!

joining a sorority at CSUF has been one of the greatest decisions of my life. through the highs and lows of college life, my sisters have been there for me time and time again. my involvement on campus and with my chapters philanthropy leaves me feeling like i’m making a lasting difference on my community. the leadership development and networking opportunities are unmatched, like being able to run for positions in chapter, or even on the panhellenic council like myself!! I am who I am today thanks to my membership in sorority life and the Panhellenic community, and I can’t wait for you to experience this opportunity for yourself!
