It’s International Women’s Day! Here is a spread from my sketchbook of my lovely Pen Pal group made up of women who run their small businesses!

On the top left we have @liz.v.art who does gorgeous floral witchy vibe art!

Bottom left we have @sashafitzgerald with her amazing paintings of magical women.

Top right we have @monkeymintaka she is so funny and clever, her bright and colourful art will fill you with joy.
Bottom right is @alljart; she is a mixed media artist who creates colourful art from fab fruit to stunning scenes.

On the right we have my current pen pal @tealkorby she has been a joy to write to recently. Her work with colour schemes is so creative, and she does amazing flat lays go check her out!
❤️
Let’s spread the love, tag below your fave female creatives and tell them why!

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance Day. 💙💗🤍Today we reflect on those we’ve lost and those that are still fighting for their rights. We’ve come a long way but there is still work to be done. 💫Check out this series by former B.F.A. Photo alum @tealkorby about the Trans Experience through portraiture. #TDOR #transexperience #Transdayofrememberance

It’s Transgender Awareness Week, leading up to tomorrow’s Transgender Day of Remembrance. Here at the Welch school, we reflect with gratitude on work by our artists that intimately depicts and expresses personal experiences of those in the Transgender community. Today we share work in a series by B.F.A. alum @tealkorby that “emphasizes the internalized nature of gender and disembodies the idea that facial features dictate one’s gender or gender expression.” Each portrait is captioned with every individual’s pronouns—a reminder that using someone’s correct pronouns is an essential way to acknowledge their authentic self!

This is a picture of the cast and crew of “For Love or Music,” an original musical I wrote while teaching drama at Northeast High School.

That show with those kids is still one of the proudest moments of my life. @lolachel said I should bring the show back to life. Maybe I will.

SKETCHES!!! Here are some of the suggestions you guys and gals gave me! I’m going to tag the peeps who suggested the critter!
I’m still working on the others!
Also, I’m totally going to redo the “cozy field mouse” because I can do so much better and make it so much cuter!
I’m only using the art supplies from my backpack.
