I’ve got to say rainy days in North Carolina make me miss Colorado super hard. Early mornings spent driving to the river. Coffee in hand and music on the radio. Being on the river surrounded by desert in the dry hot climate is something that I’m craving.

It was mid morning when My indicator plummeted. She put up a good fight running upstream and downstream across the whole river to the back eddie on the other side. The only thing I could think was “ get away from those rocks”!!! After a few tense moments I finally got her to the net.

now, more than a year later I think back to this fish and all I can think about is the splendid beauty of the desert and a rainbow
