One last performance before we leave LSR. ❤️

Dance has been such a huge part of my identity. I absolutely love performing in front of people. It genuinely makes me so happy. To be yourself, I believe, is the toughest thing. Our lives are mostly ‘performances’ for the imaginary audience in our heads. I feel that when I dance, it is one of those rare times when I am not performing “for” the audience, I present myself as I am, and sometimes (in my case, fortunately, a lot of times) the audience has clapped and rooted for me. That makes me so happy, being cheered for simply being who I am. 💘

The girls of LSR have also been kind enough to pass over a compliment if they ever came across a dance of mine - i used to replay those compliments as i walk by. 💒

I genuinely wanted to perform once before I graduate from college, and I wouldn’t have done it with anyone else other than @bonjour.shreya 💌

Not only do I admire her for being an insanely skilled and beautiful dancer, but also for the way she goes above and beyond to support my dance. She is such a star. ⭐️

We have received so much love for this performance. I feel so grateful. 🧿

So grateful for dance—it gave me a way to be myself, experience new things, and meet the best people. 🏠

all thanks to @team.shredds (my co-dancer in frame) for teaching me a bit of bhangra and gidda in such a short time. I am in no manner trained in punjabi folk dance, so bhool chukh maaf:) 💘⭐️
