🩵Happy Release Day🩵 ALC Review of Carved In The Shadows Book 2 in the Crimson Crows Series by @aljacksonauthor This book is part of an interconnected series but can be read as a standalone. This is a 5 star 10 out of 10 listen for me. If A.L Jackson writes it I’m 100 percent reading/listening to it and she never disappoints. I absolutely loved this audiobook. @therealaustinstone and @offmicandi did a fantastic job narrating Trevan and Elena I really felt their passion and emotion. I loved the duet style narration. This book was so emotional, it gave me all the feels I was smiling, laughing, screaming and crying, it broke my heart and put it back together. I loved all the suspense, tension, angst, and yearning in this book. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn’t top listening. I loved the flashback chapters even though they broke my heart, I liked learning more about Trevan and Elena’s pasts. This is a slow burn, spicy, brother’s best friend, roommates to lovers, it’s always been you, forced proximity, age gap, secret society, band of brothers, morally gray mmc, forbidden, bodyguard, small town, motorcycle club, darker romantic suspense. This is Elena and Trevan’s story. I love Elena she is so sweet, kind, and loving. My heart breaks for everything she’s endured but she is so resilient and doesn’t give up. I love seeing Elena spread her wings, find herself and grow. I love a mmc who is morally gray, tattooed, pierced, has a dirty mouth, and will do anything for her and protect her at all costs and Trevan is all those things and more I absolutely love him. Trevan’s past breaks my heart with everything he’s gone through. Trevan doesn’t think he deserves love but I love that Elena breaks through his walls and shows him he is worthy. Trevan will do anything for Elena. Their HEA is hard fought but I am so happy they get their HEA. I definitely recommend this audiobook. “Sometimes I wondered if I would. Wondered if I’d be cursed with loving him until my dying day and this feeling would never go away.” Yearning after your brother’s best friend, who is now your roommate, while he tries to fight his feelings for you? Yes please!!! Glad to be back in this world! These morally gray heroes with the biggest hearts are gonna be the death of me! Love getting to know them and learning how they came to be. I enjoyed the flashbacks of young Trevan and Elena from the first moment they met and we get to see how they really care for each other and the connection that’s just slowly building up. Get ready for all the angst, yearning, emotional past, danger, suspense, spice and of course all the swoon! These two are soulmates and we get all the slow burn goodness until they finally both can’t hold back! Another great addition to the series! #aljacksonauthor #romancebooks #klovestoread #smalltownromance #brothersbestfriend • morally grey hero • age gap romance • brother’s best friend• forbidden • angst • yearning • small town romance • romantic suspense @aljacksonauthor @valentine_pr_

🍏🖤 Carved in the Shadows by @aljacksonauthor “Love is never a burden.” Elena just wants freedom and independence, to find her own path. The past carries a lot of trauma and sadness but the future looks bright. A new business. A new home. And a chance to get everything she’s always wanted. The longing, tension and forbidden nature of this connection made it extra sweet when the walls get torn down. Not only is Elena the younger sister of Trevan’s best friend, who happens to be the president of their MC chapter, she’s the one he’s always wanted but could never have. Now he’s her protector and new roommate. Trevan is so beyond devoted and obsessed. Gentle but fierce. He’s everything she needs and more. I loved the flashbacks giving us pieces along the way that shed light on the depth of these connections. It really was “always you” for them both. I loved seeing them get their happy ending. Andy Ardnt & Austin Stone performed in duet and nailed bringing Elena & Trevan to life. Thank you to @valentine_pr_ & Amy for the ARC & ALC! crimson crowns • mc romance • forbidden love • book recs • book review • romance books

This motorcycle club romance had the right amount of grit, heat & longing to keep me entertained. Plus, it’s loaded with past trauma, feelings of inadequacy & enough shared history to keep the push/pull tugging & the chemistry crackling. Trevan & Elena have so much history together, that there were elements of the story that felt like a friends-to-lovers. As her protector for most of her life, the duty warred beautifully with Trevan’s guilt over wanting her. She was definitely the apple in the garden of Eden. I found Trevan pretty charming & funny for such a brutal guy, & his internal thoughts frequently had me laughing out loud. Elena’s goodness seeped out of her & was the perfect offset to Trevan’s. This romance is a yearn-fest & when they finally come together it’s a barn on fire moment. Built with an over-arching heroine-in-danger plotline, I loved all of the elements of suspense & would have happily taken even more. I did an immersive read for this book & was impressed by the narration from these performers. By the end, I loved the way their two voices worked together, & really felt the emotional nuances in their performances. If you like a protector romance with stolen moments, & a forbidden, forever love, this should be your next read. It’s a spicy good time! 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐘, @aljacksonauthor!! Carved in the Shadows, the second steamy and suspenseful standalone in the Crimson Crows series is now available!! 🔪 Brother’s Best Friend 🍎 Grumpy x Sunshine 🔪 Forbidden 🍎 Age Gap 🔪 Bodyguard 🍎 Roommates to Lovers 🔪 It’s Always Been You 🍎 Small Town 🔪 Secret Society 🍎 Band of Brothers Elena and Trevon’s story is here and I loved it with my entire being. If you’re like me and you need your forbidden romances to have that feel-it-in-your-soul level of pining and tension, this is the book for you. The chemistry and passion between these two should not be missed. Amazon & Kindle Unlimited: https://geni.us/CITSAmznOP Audio, Narrated in Duet: https://geni.us/CITSAudioOP Signed Collector’s Boxes and Paperbacks: https://geni.us/CITSSignedCopies Deluxe Edition Paperback: https://geni.us/CITSDlxEdtn 🖤 Release Giftaway 🖤 Enter here to win a Signed Foiled Moonlit Ridge Hardback Bundle  -> https://geni.us/CITSRlsGvwy It was a terrible idea to agree to move in with my best friend’s little sister…   She is everything I’ve ever wanted and the one thing I can’t have. As our motorcycle club’s Vice President, I’m charged with her protection. Touching her would be a penalty subject to death.   When she demands the chance to spread her wings, it’s my duty to go with her.   I knew staying at her new apartment would be excruciating. Listening to her in her room and imagining her under the fall of the shower.   But when she asks me to crawl into bed with her so she won’t feel so alone, there’s nothing I can do.   One brush of her hand and I’m crumbling. One crook of those fingers and I’m trapped.  One reckless night and there’s no going back.   Only with the lives we lead, our enemies are never far away, and as she begins to receive threats, I’m in a race to end the threat before it’s too late.   Soon, our secrets unravel, and I’m faced with the consequence of loving her. But I promised her everything, and I’m willing to offer the greatest sacrifice.  #aljacksonauthor #romancebooks #darkromance #smalltownromance #brothersbestfriend
