Been a bit silent as this one has been a slightly hard pill to swallow. As athletes we always sit down at the beginning of the year and plan out our perfect season and it’s pretty obvious that nothing about my season has been perfect 🤣
After not giving my foot much chance after a Sandton drive tumble coming back into training post worlds it obviously wasn’t in the best condition and I managed to cause a completely new issue. Having another blow a while ago has been hard but the positive is that I’ve got an incredible team around me and I’ve got the best support to give my body the best possible chance to heal this and for that I just want to say a massive thank you! I’ve never been as grateful as I have been for my support system, this year has taught me a lot and that’s an incredible feeling!

Life has properly been life-ing and somehow this is the only place life makes sense right now.

I’m constantly reminded to surrender. Constantly reminded to listen and then be obedient. And Killarney last night was testimony to a conversation with God.

I am incredibly grateful that I am able to do this. To get lost in this sport; but to find myself again. To drown out the noise and learn how to surrender. Constantly.

Thanks to @rh77killarney for putting together this event! Thanks to everyone who came out to race and watch! 💜

We keep on growing. 🌱

Thanks @wpcyclingsnaps for all the awesome shots always!! 🫶 📸

@rh77killarney Round 1 done n dusted
Officially a CSA sanctioned event and must commend the organizers for their part promoting cycling🙏
The race started off fairly slow and allowed a Plus 1 trio to build a comfortable gap to never be caught. This created some confusion in scratch group racing for that they believed Top honours.
Still a valiant effort from @cobus.marais making a solid breakaway winning the scratch bunch.
Bring on Round 2
