In honor of National Girlfriends Day (yesterday) and Siblings Day (today), I couldn’t miss the opportunity to celebrate the women who have walked beside me through so many seasons of life, many of whom aren’t pictured here.

Thank you for sharing the joy, sitting with me in the hard places, and helping carry my burdens along the way. I hope I’ve done the same for you.

Friendship doesn’t always just happen. It takes intention to nurture the relationships we already have, and sometimes courage to step out and create new ones. But it is so worth it.

If you tend to isolate, hide, or manage how others see you when life gets hard, like I have been tempted to do many times, let me remind you: we were never meant to carry life alone. And good girlfriends, sisters, and daughters won’t let you hide! Recently, my daughters posted that they were new to Charleston and wanted to make friends. It was honest, vulnerable, and brave.

Sometimes friendship begins with simply being willing to say, “I’d love a friend.” If they can take that brave step, so can we. 🤍

You know it’s going to be a good week when your “butler” is named Arcangel 🙏🏼. Beautiful Senior Spring Break with the perfect people! Couldn’t have been a better celebration of this fabulous group of friends as they prepare for the next chapter. Fellowship has been such a blessing to our family. Can’t say enough good things about this resort and our fantastic travel agent, Cathy! We will be back, Arcangel 💙🌴
