Teens need independence. Parents need peace of mind. 💙

Laura talks with the @teamhyper about why there should be a middle ground between constant tracking and complete freedom and how Kon-X is built around it.

1 in 20 Australian children will experience the death of a parent before they turn 18.

That statistic hits differently when you were one of them.

I lost my dad when I was 18.

And when you lose a parent young, you don’t just lose the person. You lose all the conversations you thought you’d have later.

How do I manage my money?
What insurance do I need?
How does super work?
What do I do when something goes wrong?
Am I making the right decision?

Because the truth is, so much of what we learn about “adulting” comes from the people around us.

But not everyone has someone to ask.

That’s one of the reasons I’m building JUUNI.

A place young people can turn to for practical guidance through the parts of life nobody really teaches you — money, renting, work, life admin, government, everyday decisions and everything in between.

Because access to life skills shouldn’t depend on luck.

JUUNI is launching in 2027.

Building an Australian startup for Gen Z — and early access is now open. 🚀

Today was another big @juuni.app milestone: our Pitch Deck & Dataroom Review with Leah Breen at @teamhyper Hyper Startup Studio.

From Gen Z research → validation → wireframes → UI → strategy → pitch deck.

JUUNI is being built for young Australians navigating adult life — money, renting, work, bills, health and all the things you’re somehow expected to just know.

Now we’re getting closer to putting it into the hands of the people we’re building it for. 💜🧡

Behind the build of an Australian startup 🇦🇺

Last week, I sat down with Leah Breen from @teamhyper Startup Studio to review the first draft of the @juuni.app pitch deck — another milestone in our journey from startup idea to product launch.

JUUNI is being built for young Australians navigating adult life, and every stage of the build starts with understanding the real problems they’re facing.

This stage was about turning months of Gen Z research, product development, user validation and startup strategy into one clear story.

We challenged the problem.
Refined the solution.
Looked closely at the market opportunity.
Pressure-tested the business model.
And started shaping the story behind JUUNI.

There’s still plenty to refine — and that’s exactly why we’re building JUUNI in public and sharing the process as we move through the Hyper Accelerate program.

Research. Build. Validate. Grow.

One more small step towards something much bigger. 🧡💜

small steps. big life.

The part of building an app you don’t always see. 👀

Behind the scenes at @juuni.app we’ve been working with Connor O’Carrigan at Hyper Startup Studio on our go-to-market strategy.

It’s one thing to have an idea. It’s another to work out how to turn it into something people actually want, need and use.

For us, that means getting out of the building, listening to young Australians, testing our assumptions and making sure we’re solving a real problem—not just building something that looks good.

The UI is coming together. Now we’re focused on the foundations behind it.

Research. Validate. Connect. Grow.

We’re still early, but every conversation is helping shape what JUUNI becomes.

If you’re Gen Z, at uni, starting work or figuring out life after school, what’s one thing you wish someone had properly prepared you for? 👇

small steps. big life. 🧡💜

From wireframes to UI design. This is the next chapter of building @juuni.app 💜

We’re creating a practical life skills platform for young Australians, and every step of the product design process has been shaped by one thing: making everyday life easier to navigate.

Behind the scenes with @teamhyper Hyper Startup Studio, we explored three different design directions — light, dark and balanced. We then invited our community to vote, listened to the feedback and worked with our designer to refine the winning direction.

The balanced concept came out on top, and today we’re sharing the UI direction we’re taking forward. ✨

From managing money and everyday responsibilities to finding the right support when you need it, we’re designing an experience that feels simple, approachable and genuinely useful.

This is still a work in progress. The product isn’t launched yet, but the foundations are coming together, one screen and one decision at a time.

Research. Design. Listen. Iterate.

Thank you to everyone who voted and helped shape JUUNI. We’re building this with young Australians, not just for them.

Which part of the design would you most like to see come to life? 👀

Small steps. Big life.

You voted. We listened. 💜

From wireframes to UI — here’s a little look at how Juuni is coming to life.

Inside Hyper Accelerate, we’ve been working through the design process with our community, because we don’t want to build something we think young Australians need. We want to build something that actually works for them.

We started with wireframes, explored three design directions and asked you to vote on your favourite.

The results:
🤍 Light Mode — 0%
💜 Balanced Concept — 71%
🌙 Dark Mode — 29%

Your feedback has helped shape the direction we’re taking forward. We’ve now gone back to our designer to refine the winning concept and bring the experience closer to what Juuni will become.

This is what building in public looks like. The ideas, the decisions, the feedback and the changes along the way.

The final direction is coming next. 👀

Which feature would you most want to see in an app that helps you navigate everyday life?

small steps. big life. 🧡
