As I stare out of the window of my home where I lie restfully in recovery, I'm feeling immense gratitude for many things. The first responders who showed up quickly. The passersby who stopped to help. My friends and family who put their lives on hold to walk slowly with me and even cry with me. Most importantly @jennjonesatl whom without I would be drowning in self pity and misery. My caregivers at Grady who healed me. And my own soul, which has been tried and tested deeply yet responded with beautiful growth and healing.

It's a funny thing to be going about your life, enjoying all the luxuries you have, when suddenly life itself slaps you across the face and forces you to wake the f*** up. It's hard, scary, and maddening, but what comes of it if you choose to be open can be a true gift.

Meeting at 10:30am and rolling out for 10 easy miles. Chill pace, no drop, and absolutely no Lycra or clip-in pedals needed — come as you are!

We’ll finish at the @hcbiergarten to watch the final stage of the @letourfemmes on the big screen — the best in the world on the biggest screen around.
