After everything this past month brought leading into my birthday, something became very clear to me: I am loved.

Birthdays have always meant something different to me. There was a time in my life when people didn’t think I would see 21, and years later I almost lost my life to COVID. So every birthday isn’t just about getting older, it’s a reminder that I’m still here.

To everyone who called, texted, posted, or simply took a moment to tell me Happy Birthday, thank you. Some of you I talk to all the time, and some I rarely speak to, but you reminded me that distance and time don’t always change genuine love.

This past month also reminded me: love on your people while they’re here. Make the call. Have the coffee. Share the laugh. Stop saying “we need to get together” and actually do it. Tomorrow is never promised.

So if you genuinely consider me a friend, no matter how long we’ve known each other or how long it’s been since we talked, I want to reconnect.

Thank you for still being here. Thank you for celebrating my life. And please know that I appreciate you too. ❤️🙏🏾

❤️ TO ALL MY PEOPLE… THE CELEBRATION IS STILL COMING! 🎂🎶

I know I haven’t posted anything official about celebrating my birthday yet, and I apologize to everyone who’s been asking and waiting on the details.

This month has brought a lot for me and my family to deal with personally, so I made the decision to push my birthday celebration into October. My new album was also scheduled to be released around this time, but because of everything going on, that has been pushed to October as well.

So I figured, why not bring the two together? 🙌🏾
I’m planning something special in October where we can celebrate LIFE, celebrate my birthday, AND have an official listening party for my new album, “The Rico Act.” 🎂🥂🎶🔥

I really want to thank everyone who has reached out asking, “Rico, what are we doing for your birthday?” 😂❤️

You honestly don't know how much that means to me. Knowing that so many people genuinely look forward to coming together and celebrating life with me is something I never take for granted especially after everything this year has reminded me about how precious life truly is.
So YES, WE ARE STILL CELEBRATING! 🙏🏾❤️
