What an incredible way to wrap up Year 3 of JamBox Music Academy! 🎧🎶

Last week, our students celebrated the end of another amazing season with a behind the scenes field trip to COX Media Group. They had the opportunity to see firsthand that being a DJ is about so much more than playing music. From broadcasting and production to media and entertainment, they experienced the many career paths that make the industry possible. They even got to be on air live.

A huge thank you to @coxmediagroup iampmt305 for opening your doors and providing such a memorable experience for our students.

Thank you to @tdbank_us for continuing to make financial literacy an important part of our program. Teaching our students how to manage the money they earn as DJs is a life skill that will benefit them for years to come.

We are also incredibly grateful to the @nomilibrary for once again serving as the home of JamBox Music Academy and providing a welcoming space where our students could learn, create, and grow.

A special thank you to @nomitech__ for helping our students discover how music and technology work hand in hand, inspiring the next generation of creative innovators.

To our students, families, instructors, volunteers, and partners, thank you for making Year 3 one to remember. We can’t wait to see what Year 4 has in store! 🎧💙

When music meets banking, something powerful happens. Thank you to @tdbank_us (@letstlkbizness83 )for serving as a corporate banking partner for Jam Box Music Academy. Through this partnership, we’re able to introduce students to the fundamentals of banking in a way that feels real and accessible, connecting financial literacy with their creative journey in music. Students get the opportunity to immerse their creativity in music while also learning how money, saving, and responsible financial habits play a role in their future.

Please help us excel this program by donating here:

After some fun ice breakers, our students officially created their DJ names and kicked off Year 3 of Jam Box Music Academy! 🎧🔥

Over the next 8 weeks, students will learn the fundamentals of music, technology, and financial literacy through our hands-on enrichment program. Students are being instructed by @djluckyc and will also hear from special guest DJs throughout the course.

Programs like this help inspire creativity, confidence, and future opportunities for our youth, and we’re excited to continue growing!

We are currently seeking donations to help support the program and upgrade our technology and equipment for our students. If you would like to contribute, please donate here: https://gofund.me/d557e2a6f

This Haitian Heritage Month, I joined our community to for Pédalé 1804, an 18.04-mile bike ride celebrating unity, culture, wellness, and opportunity. 🇭🇹🚴🏾‍♀️

Together, we rode in honor of our heritage while supporting scholarships for students and strengthening the bonds that keep our community moving forward.

This past Thursday, EJ’s Kids Foundation had the honor of bringing holiday cheer to @jdchospital Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital through a special toy distribution made possible by our partnership with @tdbank_us (TD Bank).

Thanks to this collaboration, hundreds of toys were delivered directly to the hospital, creating a joyful and welcoming experience for patients and families. Children were invited to visit the Child Life Center, where they were able to choose a toy that spoke to them personally. From games and activities to creative holiday arts and crafts, the space was filled with smiles, laughter, and moments of relief during what can often be a challenging time for families.

Beyond the toys themselves, the day was about connection and comfort. Patients had the chance to play games, create festive crafts, and simply enjoy being kids in a warm, supportive environment. The Child Life team played a key role in making the experience feel safe, fun, and inclusive for every child who participated.

EJ’s Kids Foundation is deeply grateful to TD Bank for their generosity and continued support. Partnerships like this allow us to bring meaningful moments of joy to children facing serious medical journeys and remind them that their community stands beside them.

Seeing the excitement on the children’s faces and the gratitude from families reinforced why this work matters so much. It was a powerful reminder that a simple toy, shared time, and a caring presence can make a lasting impact during the holiday season and beyond.
