Shoutout to Rowdy for letting me play under her number because I was dumb and didn’t put myself in my own damn game and everyone showed up. 🥲

@teamphilippines_rollerderby is a community of skaters, coaches, officials, and staff/volunteers, including announcers, photographers, medics, and more, representing a global Filipino diaspora. We operate beyond borders, with members spanning countries and continents, connected by Filipino nationality, ancestry, or heritage and a shared love of our sport. Participation as a rostered skater representing Team Philippines follows eligibility criteria set by the Roller Derby Nations Committee (RDNC), ensuring consistent standards across events that welcome Nation, Collective, and Borderless teams.

We made our debut at the 2018 Roller Derby World Cup in Manchester. To date, we have chartered a team at the 2018 & 2025 Roller Derby World Cup with main division teams (following WFTDA rules and guidelines) and the 2018 Men’s Roller Derby World Cup (following MRDA rules and guidelines).

Beyond the World Cup stage, we’ve proudly fielded teams at a number of other events and tournaments. As our community grows, we continue to pursue competitive and expansive opportunities, including participation in B/C level events to expand roster opportunities and foster growth

May is wrapping up, but our celebration of the AAPI roller derby community never stops.

This year, ACD was proud to host RICE BOWL, making history with the first-ever all-Asian roller derby tournament. Eight incredible teams showed up, stood out, and left everything on the track.

Swipe to see the amazing ACD skaters who played with pride, reminding us all of the beautiful diversity within the AAPI community.

Belated April dump.

Laptop died, C-Squads, chest revision surgery, and lots of derby.

I didn’t have playing in an all Asian bout on my derby bingo card, but here we are. 💚🖤

Not only is this easily in my top 10 derby moments, but I also had to pinch myself a few times. Looking around/skating against and with all of these incredible #API skaters meant so much. Thank you @yallstarstournament, for giving us a space where we can represent. That semi-final game though. If you haven’t watched it, oof. 🤩🔥

@api_fury_rollerderby 💯 brought the fury and packed a lot of punch in every single hit, offensive sweep, apex jump (dang you @lammy_thru_999 lol), slow creep defensive start—all of it.

It was challenging, tiring, exhilarating, and we didn’t know until the very last jam who was going to take it. It made me so proud to be part of this beautiful Asian community within derby.

Huge thanks to @concretefoxy for capturing these amazing memories 📸🔥. I remember this exact moment when all the API skaters were like, “hey, let’s surround tree”. 🤣🌲❤️
