Second marathon and first major star unlocked! 🌟🏅
Medal Monday and Happy Thanksgiving, Canada! 🇨🇦 🍁

Running the @chimarathon is definitely one for the books! We tried to follow advice from other runners, like not spending too much time at the expo and limiting how much we walked around the city to save our legs. But since it was our first time in Chicago and the vibes at the expo were so fun, it was hard not to enjoy every minute of it!

During the race, my husband’s ankle started hurting maybe from too much walking around and I decided to stay and run with him the entire way. Even if it meant getting a DNF together, I was okay with that. ❤️ But despite the ankle pain and the hot weather, we managed to cross the finish line side by side. And honestly, I couldn’t be more thankful for that!

As a bonus, I finished seven minutes faster than my first marathon, which makes this experience even more special. ☺️

I’m also grateful to have shared this experience with my sister @teamrafer Running our first World Major Marathon together made it even more special! ❤️ A special shoutout to my brother-in-law for being our biggest supporter from taping our legs, driving us to the start, capturing photos and videos from different spots along the course, to picking us up when our legs couldn’t handle any more walking. Thanks, Marv! We couldn’t have done it without you!

I also would like to thank our family who looked after and kept our youngest son company while we were away.

Most of all, I’d like to thank God for keeping us safe throughout our run, for giving us the strength and endurance we needed, and for blessing us with this wonderful experience. Thank You, Lord!

Thank you, Chicago, for the unforgettable memories!

Congratulations to all the amazing finishers of the 8KM, half, and full marathon at the BMO Vancouver Marathon! @bmovanmarathon @runvancanada

A special shoutout to my sister for crushing her second full marathon. What an incredible achievement! You should all be so proud of yourselves. Despite the heat, you pushed through and made it to the finish line. Now it’s time to celebrate, rest those legs, and put your feet up. You’ve earned it!

Our son’s 12th birthday party at Mach1 Adventure Park. Fun venue for parties. They have giant inflatables, mini zipline, arcades, go-karts, etc. Everyone had a great time and big thanks to the staff of @mach1bellingham for taking care of us. To everyone who came and celebrated with us, thank you so much for making Miggy’s birthday extra special.
