“Root Rot,” my first release under Kittridge, is out now 🍂🎸🍁 The accompanying video was shot on 16mm, with practical effects made by looping, burning, and destroying the film itself on projectors. It was so rewarding to experiment with something fully analog and alive :]

Is a “good hang” something you can perfect? Or are you born with the ability to make any moment special. There are some people who take the initiative to plan the perfect day. My friend @teasea____ is one of those people who can make any moment a good hang. He moved to Rhode Island this summer for grad school and I really miss him. He was back in New York for a few days and we had one of those great hangs we always have. We caught up to talk about the importante of friendships as you get older, missing New York, and the art or curating the perfect hang.

A few years ago, on my 30th birthday, I went to see LCD Soundsystem at one of their NY residency shows. I’ve seen them live before but that night, their music hit differently. I danced and I cried. There is something both deeply sad and beautiful about getting older in New York because you see so much come and go—friends, jobs, apartments, relationships, your favorite bar…etc. It’s a city in constant motion and flux with no respect for the permanent. You grieve a city that once was but at the same time, it will seduce you with what will come.

On this week’s episode, I talk to my friend @teasea____ who is leaving NYC behind, and who was there with me celebrating my 30th birthday at the LCD show. We get real deep about loving a city that may not always love you back. This one is special. I hope you give it a listen ❤️

You can read our exclusive article by @veciana on @weeze____ ‘s new surreal short film, SAME AS U. Alejandro writes with a personal fare, discussing transition and the importance of friendship in the light of this metaphorical film. Such a great piece, go read and watch the film for an afternoon delight ✏️✏️✏️
