July in Bucharest, Romania 🇷🇴

Bucharest brought me an opportunity to slow down.

I worked from "home", a beautiful and bright 4th story apartment with balcony and stellar kitchen, which meant lots of cooking and baking (I think I ate out twice in one month 😅, but made some incredible Indian curry, shakshuka, fried rice, blue cheese + apple + walnut + arugula salad, raspberry shortbread bars, fresh rotated corn + tomato salad... wonderful using produce from the Obor Market)

I did plenty of yoga and went on several shamanic journeys for myself. Diving into my physical & spiritual practices. I lead my first virtual shamanic journey with the full moon. 🌕

I had the chance to see all my coaching clients 🙌, work on more schedule details for the Guatemala Retreat in January and feel myself preparing to lead tantric workshops soon in France.

Loving on two personality-full cats in the middle of all of this.

I wandered the nearby (and far) parks, befriended a specific mulberry tree, sat with the garden flowers, soaked in nature in the middle of the city as much as I could.

Music! I was inspired and wrote a new song in Bucharest. ✨️🎶 I sat with the guitar and practiced scales and soloing.

And in the evenings, I explored the music scene and connections here.
I played on several different stages and open jams and mics. Meeting fellow musicians in those spaces and making music together.

Connection with really lovely, passionate souls, and in the end... friends. Though I was the only native English speaker, almost everyone I met speaks English very well and would always make the effort to switch to include me in the conversations where we really discussed the meaning of life and deep philosophical quandaries... put a bunch of musicians and artists together and we can get going! 🤣

Bucharest comes alive at night. There's live music, djs, dancing, and clubs that stay open until the morning light. Lovely parks to wander between stops on any evening jaunt. Something (a night owl / Rockstar mentality) woke up in me again here a few of these nights 😄.

There was a balance that was found in slow intentional days and vibrant playful nights.
Mulțumesc Romania 🙏

Spontaneous jam night magic and playful fun in Bucharest singing Alanis with the very talented @teaspike

and @johnciurea holding down the drums 🥳

So nice to trade verses and lines and read who's going to jump to sing harmony, when to repeat, etc. with body language and feeling alone. ✨️
