Back to School 🎒 Special This afternoon, I visited Teaspoons Co. for their Back to School 🎒 Special, a two‑day promotion running from Saturday, September 12 to Sunday, September 13. During this event, customers who purchase any drink from their Fall 🍂 Menu receive a FREE mini cinnamon bun—a fun little bonus that makes the visit even sweeter. @teaspoons.co They featured four fall 🍂 drinks for the promo: Peach Matcha 🍑 🍵 , Lime Jasmine, Matcha 🍵 Cinnamon Cold Foam, and Matcha 🍵 Jasmine Cold Foam. I decided to try the Peach Matcha 🍑 🍵 @teaspoons.co Peach Matcha 🍑🍵 The top matcha 🍵 layer was pleasantly bitter (likely made with Uji matcha 🍵) and paired well with the regular milk 🥛 in the middle layer. The bottom layer was a fresh peach 🍑 puree filled with lots of small peach 🍑 chunks. Once mixed, the drink turned a vibrant green 💚 and the flavours blended beautifully. The peach 🍑 didn’t overpower the matcha 🍵, and the matcha 🍵 didn’t dominate the fruit either. It was a balanced, fruity matcha 🍵 latte with natural peach 🍑 sweetness coming through. I loved that each sip included little peach 🍑 bites, adding a fun chewy texture. Even though I took the photo after bringing the drink home (so the layers had settled), you can still clearly see the peach 🍑 chunks at the bottom. Overall, it’s a refreshing and well‑crafted matcha 🍵 drink. Mini Cinnamon Bun The cinnamon bun was soft and topped with a sweet, creamy cream cheese frosting. ✨MATCHA SPOTS I’VE TRIED SO FAR✨ SAVE this for your next matcha run 😌 ⬇️ Comment below and let me know which cafe I should try next 🍵 #matcha #matchalatte #matchalover #cafe #vancouver If only they have a location in Richmond *wink wink*, I’d totally visit more often 🤭 I love that they offer latte, usucha, and koicha. I’ve only tried their Okawari (nutty, roasty & deep) from Yame, Fukuoka $8.50 and I loved it! Matcha pandan med $8.55 + $0.50 for oat milk is my go-to order! I use their baiko and yame matcha for making matcha latte at home 🫶 Match reserve (single cultivar okumidori) $9 + $0.75 for oat milk. For the price, I was hoping the matcha flavour would stand out more! Mango sticky rice matcha *seasonal* 12oz $9 🥭 while I enjoyed the matcha flavour profile, the mango and coconut sticky rice were on the sour side which overpowered the matcha 😣 Black sesame matcha $8.25 no extra charge for milk alts 🖤 lacked black sesame flavour and the black seaseame was on the grainier side! The ratio was kinda off too! This matcha black sesame, on the other hand, is my absolute fav drink at Paragon! oat iced 16 oz $8.85 Cherry pie matcha $8 - The cinnamon flavour was so strong that I could barely taste matcha. Unfortunately, it’s the only matcha house drink available. Cool spot for photo ops 👌 Strawberry / mango matcha oat $8.45 – not your usual matcha spot but their drinks are actually better than most of the other matcha cafes I’ve tried (ps they have a $25 monthly membership for 6 drinks) Mango matcha $8.9 extra $$ for oat milk. Matcha flavour was weak. I’d go back for their pastries though, especially the gojuchang scone 😌 Sweet corn matcha latte 12oz $6.95 + $0.60 for oat milk extra $1 for 1.5 grams of matcha –This was exactly how I imagined it to be. It was a combination of slightly savory and sweet but not overpowering the matcha flavour. Glad I gave it a try but I’d probably order their regular matcha with extra matcha and their slushies next time!
