In 2005, the internet had a problem everyone could record videos, but nobody had an easy way to share them. Three former PayPal employees saw an opportunity. Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim built a platform that would change how the world communicates forever "YouTube".

Sometimes the biggest investment you can make is in yourself.

Recently, I attended the Aevy TV Video Editing Cohort meetup, and it reminded me how much growth happens when you step into rooms filled with passionate, creative, and ambitious people.

From insightful conversations to sharing experiences with fellow creators, every interaction broadened my perspective. It’s easy to underestimate how much the right community can inspire you until you’re surrounded by people who are actively building, learning, and pushing their limits.

A big thank you to @aevyvideoschool for creating a space where creators can connect, learn, and grow together. Grateful for the experience, the people I met, and the motivation I’m taking back with me.

Here’s to investing in ourselves, embracing new opportunities, and staying curious. 🚀✨

From usernames and voice chats to real conversations and shared laughs. 🎬✨

What started as a cohort of video editors became a community of creators, friends, and people who genuinely cheer each other on. Meeting online friends in real life felt surprisingly familiar—as if we’d known each other for years.

Great vibes, endless conversations, creative energy, lots of fun, and memories that will stay long after the event ended. Grateful for every connection, every story, and every frame of this experience.

Here’s to creating, growing, and meeting again soon. 🚀❤️

Two days that changed something in me.

I come from operations. Inventory. Billing. Managing teams. Numbers all day.

Then I discovered video editing — and something just clicked.

May 30 — walked into the Aevy Video School Cohort Meetup. Didn't know what to expect.

Met people who left stable careers to edit full time. Met mentors who've actually built something real in this space.

Had a conversation with Shirsh Bajpai that reminded me — the skill isn't just in the software. It's in how you think about the story before you open Premiere.

Martin said something that stayed with me — some things you genuinely can't learn from a screen.

May 31 — got to visit the AEOS studio. Walked in. Looked around. That visual stays with you.

Still learning. Still making mistakes in the timeline. But I'm in the right room now.

Cohort 13 — just getting started. 🎬
