“Don’t think of yourself more highly than you ought…”

In light of the Super Bowl, this feels apropos.

And in reality, applies to anyone who wants to do anything at the highest level. what’s more surprising is that you don’t need top tier talent (at least not when it comes to college). You just need to stay consistent.

Usain Bolt has a quote about training 4 years to run a race that’s over in less than 10 seconds.

Sometimes we’re put in situations where the opportunity to perform doesn’t come immediately, but preparation is still a necessity.

Stay read and you ain’t gotta get ready.

That’s how you become undeniable. Especially if you come in underrated. Because when opportunity meets preparation, you get the same story @trevinwade @technique_warehouse tells here.

This is how you do it.

What would you do if you had only a moment’s notice to pack your things and move to a new state?

Which one?

Doesn’t matter. You just have to go.

How many questions would you have? How much time would you wish you had to figure things out? Who would you call first?

That’s the long shadow that life in the biggest leagues cast. As told by @trevinwade and verified by so many other stories. No warning. No prep. Just “trading assets.”

People, regardless of what they’re compensated, are never just machine parts. But we often forget that just because pro athletes get so well compensated, that they in some way are the exception.

That needs to change.
