CBC Week… meet TechWalk. 👟💻🌿

For the FIRST TIME, we’re bringing @techwalk.co to CBC Week in Washington, D.C.!

And as the DC Chapter Director, I’m excited about this one. 🥹

CBC Week brings thousands of Black leaders, professionals, founders and changemakers into our city—and in between the panels, receptions, meetings and parties, we’re creating some space to MOVE + CONNECT.

No ballroom.
No conference table.
Just good people, fresh air and real conversation.

And I won’t be walking alone. 👀

I’m bringing some amazing DMV energy with our co-hosts:

✨ Nina Archie — innovation advisor, startup ecosystem connector + Founder of Innovator Connector

🎥 Folasade’ Ogunmokun — Founder of UnskryptedTV + creative storyteller and community builder

🤝 Joe Randolph — Microsoft Director by day, leadership coach + entrepreneur, and podcast host, by night. Where tech, business, politics & culture collide. Joe is all about bringing conversations around tech, business, politics and culture together while empowering others to reach their full potential.

☁️ Anthony Carter — AWS tech professional bringing the cloud crew energy to the pavement

…and me 🙋🏾‍♀️ Ayanna, your TechWalk DC Chapter Director + Founder of Tech Wellness Society.

CBC Week is already about ideas, relationships, leadership and community.
We’re just adding a few steps to it. 😉🚶🏾‍♀️

📅 Friday, September 18
📍 Washington, D.C.

Part 1. Let’s recap the last 90 days or so 🤭 Chronicles of a stories only poster. 🤗

So much wellness, community, movement, purpose, meaningful conversations, and little moments that reminded me how much joy exists when you make room for it.

One thing I’ve been especially intentional about is my environment; mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Environment is a huge holistic pillar for me! The people, spaces, and communities around you really do matter. I’m grateful to keep finding rooms that inspire me, challenge me, and remind me to keep showing up as myself.

Take time to look back at how far you’ve come. Celebrate the small wins. Celebrate your people. Celebrate yourself.

Move toward what lights you up, inspires you, and keeps you walking in your purpose. ✨
