Swedish visual artist and filmmaker Teddy Goitom works at the intersection of documentary and new media art. Inspired by his diverse upbringing and Eritrean-Ethiopian heritage, he creates evocative video works that transform emotional memories into poetic explorations of identity, belonging, and possibility.

Just two days after hosting our exhibition in Amsterdam, we found ourselves standing in the middle of Times Square, watching artists from the Novus Arte network light up one of the biggest and most iconic billboards in the world 🔥

We were invited by @art.innovation.gallery to join the curatorial committee of The New Media Moment: a digital art exhibition presented during Frieze New York, bringing together artists working at the intersection of contemporary art, technology and digital culture.

The best part? Watching complete strangers stop in the middle of Times Square to look up, take photos and engage with the exhibition. Because that's what Novus Arte has always been about: bringing art into everyday life and making it accessible to everyone.

A huge thank you to Art Innovation Gallery making our American Dreams come true! 🇺🇸

STORT TACK till alla som deltog i Husby Konstsalong 2026 och till alla härliga besökare som kom för att fira vårt 5-årsjubileum med oss!! I år hade vi över 5300 besökare på 3 veckor vilket är nästan dubbelt så många som förra året 🙏❤️‍🔥🙏

Husby Konstsalong är ett samarbete mellan Järva Stadsdelsförvaltning, Husby Konsthall (Husby gård), Folkets Husby, Kulturskolan, Svenska Bostäder, Victoriahem och Kulturhuset Stadsteatern Husby.

ÅRETS HÖJDPUNKTER:

✨️318 deltagare i åldrar mellan 5 och 87 år ställde ut i fem olika lokaler runtom i Husby.

✨️Vertical Poetry, 12 st nya poesi- och graffitiskulpturer av Finsta, Amara Por Dios, Ikaroz och Ola Kalnins. Tillfällig offentlig utsmyckning i samverkan med Trafikkontoret och Husbygårdsskolan.

✨️Konst på fem fasader med verk av Valeria Montti Colque, Ailin Mirlashari, Teddy Goitom och Kulturskolans elever.

✨️Fönstermålning av konstnären Saba Tadele i samarbete med Folkets Husby.

✨️"100% Husby", en kurerad del av Husby Konstsalong som lyfter fram konstnärer med starka band till Husby. I år bjöd vi för första gången in en konstnär till ett residens.
Dansaren och koreografen Escarleth Romo Pozo (f.1986) är född i Nicaragua med peruansk och nicaraguansk bakgrund, och delvis uppvuxen i Husby.

Immersive Dome - Pil0t0

five weeks. a dome. people who cared about how sound and visuals can shift in a space.

when i designed these series of labs, i believed in what happens when you put the right people in the right room and say, okay, now let’s find out!

we explored everything: audio reactive visuals, spatial audio, AI, storytelling, interactive gaming. we played with @touchdesigner , Spatial Audio with @ableton, AI, interactive visuals. i even hacked the templates myself because that’s just how it goes.
. but what i carry with me is watching how artists connect and find their own way inside the dome. that moment when someone stops asking if it’s right and just lets it be.

that’s the coolest thing.

we got to show it at @domedreamingfestival - the first nordic dome festival.

thank you to every artist who showed up and trusted me with their creativity, not knowing exactly what or how it would all unfold.
thank you @tekniskamuseet for trusting me to build something new inside your walls.
thank you @varmeverket for the space and the warmth.

It’s officially showtime! 👁️✨

Huge love to my incredible team @teddygoitom , @maurizioberta and our mentor @chufi404! We’ve spent the last 5 weeks living and breathing this project, and today “Make More” finally hits the dome! 🌌

From the first node in TouchDesigner to the final cut in editing, this has been a wild journey into the “machine gaze.” We’re taking over the Wisdome at @tekniskamuseet for the @domedreamingfestival, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve built together.

Seeing ,,Make More”it wrap around the entire dome is a total core memory unlocked. 🔓

Massive thanks to @varmeverket and @tekniskamuseet for giving our vision a home.

If you’re around Stockholm, come see what happens when the machine starts to breathe. See you there! 👁️

Within the hypermediated environment of Times Square, a global crossroads of visual languages, communication, and cultural flows, The New Media Moment emerges as an international exhibition project dedicated to artistic research in new media. The exhibition will take place from May 13 to 15, starting daily at 3:00 PM, at 1 Times Square, New York City - W 42nd St & 7th Ave.
