🔥 MISFIT 1200 HAS ENTERED THE CLUB! 🔥

The Social Media Misfits Club is honored to welcome a TRUE HIP HOP HERO — @kurtisblow ! 🎤👑

That’s right… Kurtis Blow is officially the SMMC’s 1,200th Instagram follower! 🥳 And we couldn’t think of a better Misfit to hit this milestone.

🎤 3 FUN FACTS ABOUT KURTIS BLOW:

1️⃣ He made history in 1979 as the first rapper signed to a major record label, Mercury Records.

2️⃣ His classic “The Breaks” became the first rap single certified Gold, helping prove that Hip Hop was here to stay.

3️⃣ “Christmas Rappin’” was released in 1979 and became one of the earliest major-label rap records — and yes, Kurtis helped put rap AND Christmas together before it was cool! 🎄🎤

💥 WHY HE’S A @hip.hop.heroes :
Before Hip Hop was a billion-dollar global culture, artists like Kurtis Blow were out there kicking down doors, proving that MCs could command stages, sell records, and build a career from the culture.

1,200 Misfits strong… and we just got a LEGEND! 🫡🔥

Welcome to the Misfit family, Kurtis Blow! ❤️🖤

🎭📱 Social Media Misfits Club

Behind every post, video, livestream, cosplay, podcast, or creative project is a real person navigating real life.

Content creation can be an amazing outlet for creativity, connection, and self-expression—but it can also come with challenges that people don't always see. The pressure to stay consistent, chase algorithms, compare ourselves to others, handle criticism, and always be "on" can take a toll on our mental health.

At Social Media Misfits Club, we believe it's okay to take breaks. It's okay to create at your own pace. It's okay if every idea isn't viral. Your worth is not measured by likes, views, follows, or engagement.

We're building a community where creators can support one another, celebrate wins, learn from setbacks, and have honest conversations about the realities of being online while taking care of ourselves offline.

If you're struggling, know you're not alone. If you're thriving, check in on your fellow creators. Together, we can create spaces that are more authentic, supportive, and human.

💜 Be kind to yourself. 🎬 Keep creating. 🤝 Support your fellow Misfits.

💥 WELCOME TO THE MISFITS 💥
Please help us give the loudest, warmest, most chaotic-in-love welcome to the newest member of the Social Media Misfits Club…

✨💜 CAM-B-YEON 💜✨

Meet Louise (she/her), a 36-year-old mixed-race, pansexual creative powerhouse who lives at the intersection of activism, art, and unapologetic self-expression. When she’s not out there fighting for all human rights—in the streets or on your timeline—you’ll find her bringing worlds to life through cosplay and music.

Under the artist name CAM-B-YEON, she’s been releasing music for the past two years, blending K-POP energy with EDM vibes, and yes… it hits just as hard as her convictions 🎶⚡

Offstage and off the mic, she’s fueled by animals, cooking, and a deep love for Ramyeon and Tteokbokki (because a day without them? Not worth remembering 🍜🔥). When it’s time to recharge, she’s all about anime, gaming, and keeping her energy calm, relaxed, and welcoming.

Oh—and if you were wondering—her favorite animal is the red panda 🐼❤️ (elite choice).

Her philosophy says it all:
Life is for living and spreading love. ✨💜🫶🏻

We’re beyond excited to have CAM-B-YEON repping with the Misfits. This club is about community, creativity, and caring louder than the world expects—and she fits right in.

Welcome home. 🖤
