There's no memorial service so I just have to keep paying tribute in my own way. Here are some great oldies I got from my cousin Ted---I feel like every photo my father has a crazy grin-- just like me. Photos of him and my grandmother and uncles. Hope the brothers are getting along better in heaven! Ha. 🙏❤️❤️

THE POWER OF A MENTOR.

Some people cross your path. Others fundamentally change its direction.

Ted Rubin is one of those people for me.

When I stepped into entrepreneurship, I was trying to find myself again. I’d spent 15 years in service — where leadership, discipline, teamwork and serving something bigger than yourself weren’t philosophies; they were a way of life.

Then came entrepreneurship. Different battlefield. Different measures of success.

What I’ve probably never told Ted is how naturally his philosophy resonated with me.

For years, I felt torn between service and entrepreneurship.

Ted helped me see they don’t have to be different worlds.

You can build businesses and still serve people.
You can succeed without losing your humanity.
You can lead without needing a title.
And you can give without asking what you’ll get back.

That’s why #BeGoodToPeople and #JustBeNice mean so much more than hashtags.

Ted, thank you, my brother — for your mentorship, friendship, brilliant mind, and for always seeing things differently and generously sharing what you see.

Some mentors make you better at business.
The great ones make you better at being human.

You’re one of the great ones, mate @tedrubin

Real kindness doesn’t need an audience. Some people are simply good because that’s who they are. Be that person, regardless of the baggage you carry from others who haven’t shown you kindness.

A shoutout to my friend and mentor, @tedrubin, who has championed the importance of always #BeKind throughout the 15 years I’ve known him.

@EvergreenTrading_ doesn’t just understand RETURN ON RELATIONSHIP… they embrace it, empower it, and put it into practice more deeply than any company I’ve ever worked with.

The most important RETURN ON RELATIONSHIP is FRIENDSHIP!

Time will reveal whose loss it truly was…

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how we’ve somehow made something as natural as human connection incredibly complicated.

We live in a world where everyone is searching for the same things—acceptance, trust, companionship, intimacy, purpose and someone who genuinely sees them.

Yet we’ve handed the process over to algorithms.

Swipe.
Like.
Boost.
Super Like.
Pay to be seen.
Pay to message.
Pay to stand out.

Before you’ve even shared a coffee, you’ve already entered a business model designed to keep you searching rather than finding.

Then comes the filters.
The carefully curated versions of ourselves.
The AI-generated photos.
The rehearsed conversations.
The fear of vulnerability.

We’re trying to build authentic relationships in an environment that often rewards performance over authenticity.

I’ve always believed in being the same person on day one as I am on day one hundred.

I’m direct.
I’m honest.
I don’t play games.
If I’m interested, you’ll know.
If I’m not, you’ll know that too.

Ironically, that level of openness today is often met with, “You’re too good to be true,” or the dreaded 🚩.

Somewhere along the way we’ve become so conditioned to expect deception that sincerity itself has become suspicious.

For over 15 years, our businesses were built on one simple philosophy:

Return on Relationship is always greater than Return on Investment.

That philosophy transformed our businesses around the world because people ultimately do business with people they know, trust and respect.

So why don’t we apply the same principle to our personal lives?

Maybe we stop hiding behind screens.

Maybe we put our phones down a little more.

Maybe we have more conversations over coffee than through keyboards.

Maybe we stop trying to impress people and simply allow them to know who we really are.

Perhaps meaningful relationships aren’t becoming rarer.

Perhaps they’re simply waiting for people brave enough to be genuine first.

What do you think?

How do we bring real human connection back into a world that’s become increasingly digital?

Relationships are like muscle tissue, the more you engage them, the stronger and more valuable they become.

@AudiencePath_us, @LiftOffShow, and @EvergreenTrading_ empower and foster relationships with everything they do.

RETURN ON RELATIONSHIP adds more to ROI than meets the eye.
