The magic of representation is watching your child realize, “I see someone like me.” 🥹✨

I went into the live-action Moana with high expectations (because let’s be honest… Moana is my favourite Disney princess 🌊), and I was prepared to cry.

But what I didn’t expect was how much it would mean to watch my daughters experience a Disney princess they could see themselves in.

We’re not Pacific Islanders, but seeing familiar features and a heroine who felt relatable created a moment I’ll never forget as a mom.

Because representation isn’t just about what our children watch… it’s about the little moments where they start to understand that they belong in every story. 🤍

And yes… the movie was beautiful. I cried. My kids loved it. 🥹

Enjoy this little dance from the CEO’s daughter, Lindy - our very first Mochi Girl - who taste-tested the very first batch of failed mochi donuts in our home kitchen two years ago to help us refine it to what it is today! From that tiny kitchen to 17 stores is a testament to how far you can go when you got family!

2025… what a year. 🥹🤍

We opened 6 new stores (4 all within the last month 🤯) but honestly, none of it means anything without you. Every visit, every box you brought home, every friend you dragged in to “just try one,” every DM, tag, review, and kind word… you turned a little mochi dream into a real mochi family.

To everyone who supported us from day one, and everyone who found us for the first time this year: thank you for choosing us, believing in us, and growing with us. We don’t take a single bite of it for granted.
