Former ULM men's basketball players Travis Munnings and Tyree White completed play in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas this week.

"It was a great experience to go show that I can play and compete at that level on a daily basis," Munnings said. "I had an opportunity to work with some good coaches and play with and compete against some young, talented players. The whole experience was awesome."

"I would say my game is completely different today than it was when I played at ULM," Munnings said. "I've refined my skills, thanks to my experience playing on the Bahamas National Team, because I'm frequently put in a position to carry my team. So, I've become comfortable being the go-to guy in key moments of the game.

"I've become a better player with the ball in my hands, not only creating more shots for myself but for setting my teammates up for quality scoring chances," Munnings said. "It's the repetition of being put in that position time and time again that makes you grow as a player."

"I just hope the additional exposure I gain through the NBA Summer League will open more doors for me as a professional player," @travismunnings

"It was fun competing in the NBA Summer League because it's the stage that everybody wants to play on," White said. "It was a special experience because at the end of the day, I was provided an opportunity to showcase my abilities on that stage, and I believe I made the best of it."

"I'm basically the same player that I was at ULM, but I've really developed my mental approach to the game," White said. "I've always had a good jump shot, but now, I pay greater attention to detail, focusing on the small things. I'm consistently playing at a high level because I stay confident in my abilities." @teeboogi_
