Today I decided to step away from the game of football due to injuries and for the best interest of my health with 2 years of college eligibility remaining. This was an extremely difficult decision as I have so much love for my teammates and there aren’t words to describe how much it meant to be a part of the program at Carroll. It is a brotherhood that goes far beyond the game of football. The 4 years I was part of the program I did my best to wear my heart on my sleeve for my teammates and be the best teammate I could be. While its a hard pill to swallow that I never accomplished what I wanted to be capable of on the field. I am proud that I kept working hard and stood tall in the face of adversity setback after setback throughout my entire football career and I hope that I left an impact on the program that goes far beyond the stat sheet. Im walking away with no regrets knowing I gave it my all for my brothers! Saint for life!

I’ve been pushing this post off for awhile, and to be honest, didn’t really want to post about it. But my athletic career has been over for about a year now and I think I’ve finally accepted it. For my entire life I’ve had an image of being an athlete whether it was football, baseball, or basketball. And dealing with it being all over has been extremely more tough on me than I would ever imagine. At some point you gotta hang them up, it will all come to an end. I guess my time just came a little sooner than expected. All I wanna say is I appreciate everyone who has ever believed in me through my career. I wouldn’t trade the memories I made in sports for anything. Lastly, know that Jesus has a plan for you, and that if you truly have faith in his plan, there isn’t anything to worry about at all. Love.
