We had such a wonderful time last night at the 2026 Art of TRA pop-up show at @greenspacestudios. 15 different artists from @tra_jiujitsu presented their work — and it was incredible to see how many talented artists practice this wonderful sport. I am happy to report that we have broken a fundraising record and raised $600 last night that will go towards a TRA Jiu Jitsu scholarship! If you are interested in applying for that, be on the lookout for posts about an application form. Thank you to everyone who came out last night to support the artists and our jiu jitsu community! And thank you to the artists for participating in this show…and helping to break financial barriers in martial arts!

It would appear that, as of this morning, brown is the new purple!

I am humbled and thrilled to start what I suppose would be called the “next chapter.”

I started training in the art of Brazilian JiuJitsu when I was 45, after my man @teeters persisted for about 6 months to get me on the mats.

At 52, this promotion feels amazing! Especially after losing almost 2 years to a torn ACL and meniscus.

Post-surgery I was faced with the pandemic and couldn’t train. Huge thanks to @cookthirty for getting tested and rolling with me in an empty gym, whilst the world was closed.

Tagging all the people who help me with my fitness, health and happiness. Especially @tra_jiujitsu, @thiagorela and the 7am wrecking crew!

I won’t get everyone, but I love you all and thank you for helping me set an example for my amazing daughters. Never give up. Set goals and go get ‘em!
