NEW SINGLE “SAFETY ON” OUT NOW! Featuring Noah from @cockringhc - Full LP Out Friday 3.27.26 & available to preorder now through @getbetterrecords

“Safety On” is the tension of being a contradiction and the heartbreak of simplifying yourself to be acceptable. It’s being too loud, too quiet, too soft and too hard. It’s the toxicity of rigid gender roles and the effects of the quiet violence of heteronormativity. It’s the sharpness of outgrowing chasing love and the strength in found family. It’s the unknown struggles of your brain and the peace of finding yourself. It’s realizing who shaped you growing up and the absolute exhaustion of it all.

We asked Noah from Cockring to do guest vocals on this track because we wanted that push and pull between vocal ranges, showcasing the spectrum of who we all are or could become if allowed. It also mirrors the late night conversations we’ve had about fronting bands authentically while feeling like outsiders in both the world and hardcore.

This song is for the people that love us for who we are, not despite it.
This song is for shows that make us feel whole, the anger we don’t have to hide.
This song is for the community we build and the music that surrounds it.
This song is for us.

“I want to be breakable without being broken. Weep loudly, express rage. I want to breathe without pain or control and still remain. Cover our mouths, call it peace. Make us beg, while we bleed. Taught to flinch and feel no pain. Bury the hurt until we are the ache. Swallow fire, speak in flowers and still remain.

Learned their rules brutally, we dress our wounds in pleasantries. Choke the part of ourselves that makes them uncomfortable. Forced to bend but can’t break, present survival as grace. But we were never quiet, we were silenced.

Swallow fire, speak in flowers and still remain.”
